NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-rule (1) of rule 7

of the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957,

the Government of Karnataka hereby specifies the Principal District and Sessions

Judge of the District Judiciary as the appointing authority in respect of the posts

of Senior Sheristedars in Group -B in the District Judiciary.

Provided that, in respect of persons appointed as Senior Sheristedars by the

High Court of Karnataka prior to the commencement of this Notification, the High

Court of Karnataka shall be the Disciplinary Authority to impose any of the

penalties specified in clauses (v) to (viii) of rule 8 of the Karnataka Civil Services

(Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957.
