NOTIFICATION-I

The draft of the following rules further to amend Karnataka Excise (Brewery)

Rules, 1967, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of

the powers conferred by section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka

Act 21 of 1966) is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of section 71 of

the said Act for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and

notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken up for consideration after

expiry of seven days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government

from any person in respect of the said draft before the period specified above will

be considered by the State Government. The objections or suggestions may be

addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Finance Department,

Vidhana Soudha, Dr. B.R Ambedkar Veedhi, Bengaluru - 560001.

1. Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the

2. Amendment of rule 7-B.- In the Karnataka Excise (Brewery) Rules,

1967, for rule 7-B, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“7-B. Attendance of Officer.- Brewery licensee shall be permitted to

bottle and dispatch their products 24-hours a day. The Deputy

Commissioner of Excise shall make necessary and adequate Excise staff

arrangements”.

DRAFT RULES

1. Title and commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka

Excise (Manufacture of Wine) (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the

official Gazette.

2. Insertion of new rule 9-A:- In the Karnataka Excise (Manufacture of

Wine) Rules, 2008, after rule 9, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

“9-A. Attendance of Officers.- Winery licensee shall be permitted to

bottle and dispatch their products 24-hours a day. The Deputy

Commissioner of Excise shall make necessary and adequate Excise staff

arrangements”.

Ĩ£ಾಂಕĨಂದ —ಾĸ’ೆ ಬರತಕ´ದುÅ.

2. 9-ಎ £ೇ Īಯಮದ ±ೇಪœೆ:– ಕ£ಾಟಕ ಅಬಾĸ (®ೈŖ ತ©ಾĸೆ) Īಯಮಗಳ…,2008 ರĹÐ,
