Notification

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 14 of the Karnataka

Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1984 (Karnataka Act 37 of 1984),

the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, further to amend the

Karnataka Conduct of Entrance Test for Selection and admission to Postgraduate Medical

and Dental Degree and Diploma Courses Rules, 2006, namely:-

Rules

1.

Title and Commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Conduct of

Entrance Test for Selection and Admission to post Graduate Medical and Dental Degree and

Diploma Courses (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of rule 4.- In the Karnataka Conduct of Entrance Test for selection and

Admission to Postgraduate Medical and Dental Degree and Diploma Courses Rules, 2006, in

rule 4, in clause (i), for sub-clause (ii), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“(ii) In respect of fifty percent of institutional seats in private colleges a candidate

must possess the eligibility specified in sub-clause (a) and (c) of clause (i), including

candidates covered under clause (iii) and clause (iv) of the first proviso".
