Out of total number of Government Post Graduate seats 70% of the seats are earmarked to the entrance test candidates

The draft of the following regulations to amend the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board Cadre and Recruitment

Regulations issued in the Government Order No.CI 68 SPQ 84 Dated: the 29^th October, 1984, which the Government of Karnataka

proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section-3 read with section-8 of the

Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978, (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), is hereby published as required by clause (a) of sub-section

(2) of sections of the said Act, for information of all the persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said

draft will be taken into consideration after expiry of one month from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

DRAFT REGULATIONS

1. Title and commencement: (1) There regulations may be called the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board

Cadre and Recruitment (Amendment) Regulations, 2011.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of Schedule: In the schedule to the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board Cadre and

Recruitment Regulations regulating the method of recruitment; in the category of posts of Senior Assistant at serial number 23, for

the entries in column No.4, the following shall be substituted, namely:

From the cadre of Assistants or Stenographers with minimum service of three years in the respective cadre and who have

passed the Departmental Examinations in Accounts Higher and General Law (Part I and II), in the ratio of 5:1; every sixth

vacancy being filled by promotion of stenographer.

Examinations) Rules 1974 was published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 read with section 8 of the

Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), in Notification No.DPAR 3 SSR 2010, Dated:29^th December,

2010 in part IV-A (No.1691) of the Karnataka Gazette Extra-ordinary Dated:30^th December, 2010 inviting objections and suggestions

from the persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date of publication of draft in the Official Gazette.

Whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on 30^th December, 2010.

And whereas no objections and suggestions have been received by the State Government.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and section (3) read with section (8) of the

Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), the Government of Karnataka makes the following rules,

namely:-

RULES

Language Examinations) (1^st Amendment) Rules, 2011.

2. Amendment of rule 5.- In rule 5 of the Karnataka Civil Services (Service and Kannada Language Examinations)

Rules, 1974, in sub-rule (1), in sub-clause (ii), after the entries relating to item (ab) the following shall be inserted, namely:

"(ac) Kannada Language Test conducted by the Public Service Commission or any other Selection Authority, as a part of

examination for recruitment to the posts in the State Civil Services as prescribed in the Karnataka Civil Services (Direct Recruitment

by Competitive Examinations and Selection) (General) Rules, 2006."

WHEREAS the Government of Karnataka having regard to the circumstances prevailing in the State is satisfied that it is

necessary that all Commissioners of Police and all the District Magistrates should be empowered to exercise the powers under sub-

section (2) of section 3 of the Karnataka prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot-leggers, Drug-Offenders, Gamblers, Goondas,

Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers Act, 1985 (Karnataka Act No.12 of 1985).

Now, therefore in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (2) of Section 3 of the Karnataka Prevention of
