The Draft of The Karnataka Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy & Yoga (AYUSH Department) (Collegiate Branch) (Recruitment) Rules, 2012, which the Government of Karnataka

proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) is hereby published as

required by Clause (a) of Sub-section (2) section 3 of the said Act, for the information of all the persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is here by given that the said draft will be taken in to

consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion, which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect of the said draft before the expiry of period specified above, will be considered by the

State Government. The objections and suggestions may be addressed to the Principal Secretary to Government, Department of Health and Family Welfare (Medical Education), Vidhanasoudha,

Bangalore-560001.

DRAFT RULES

1.

Title and Commencement.- (1) These Rules may be called The Karnataka Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy & Yoga (AYUSH Department) (Collegiate Branch) (Recruitment)

Rules, 2012.

(2) They Shall come in to force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2.

Method of Recruitment and minimum Qualification.- The Karnataka Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy & Yoga (AYUSH Department) (Collegiate Branch) Department shall

consist of such category of posts with scales of pay specified in column (2) of the schedule, in respect of each category of post their number, the method of recruitment and the minimum

qualification, if any, shall be as specified in the corresponding entries in column (3) , (4) and (5) there of.

3.

Repeal and Saving - The Karnataka Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy(Collegiate Branch of Teaching Cadre excluding Homoeopathy Teaching Cadre) (Recruitment) Rules 1985

are and the Karnataka Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy (Collegiate Branch of Homoeopathy) (Recruitment) Rules, 1994 are hereby repealed;.

Provided that the repeal shall not affect-

(a)

the previous operation of the said rule or any thing duly done or suffered there under; or

(b)

any right, privilege, obligation or liability already acquired, accrued or incurred under the said rules

For Promotion:

Must have put in a service of not less than five years in the cadre of Lecturer in Niswan-

wa-Atfal.

For Direct Recruitment:

(1) Must possess a Bachelor Degree in Unani and Post Graduate Degree in Niswan-wa-

Atfal/Qabalat-wa-Ni awarded by an University established by law in India and included in

the II schedule to IMCC Act, 1970.

Provided that if no person is available with Post Graduate Degree in Niswan-wa-Atfal

/Qabalat-wa-Niswan, then person with Post Graduate Degree in any discipline/subject of

Unani awarded by an University established by law in India and included in the II

Schedule to IMCC Act 1970, may be considered.

(2) The person must have put in not less than five years of teaching experience in the

subject of Niswan-wa-Atfal in an institution recognized by the Government.

(3) Must have not attained the age of 40 years
