Subject: Payment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government Employees – revised Rates effective from 01-01-2014.

1. The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry`s Office Memorandum No. No.1-8/2013-E-II (B), dated 25th September, 2013

on the subject mentioned above and to say that the president is pleased to decide that the Dearness Allowance payable to Central

Government employees shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 90% to 100% with effect from 1^st January, 2014.

2. The provisions contained in paras 3, 4 and 5 of this MInistry`s O.M.No.1(3)/2008-E-II(B), dated 29^th August 2008 shall continue to

be applicable while regulation Dearness Allowance under these orders.

3. The additional installment of Dearness Allowance payable under these orders shall be paid in cash to all Central Government

employees.

4. The payment of arrears of Dearness Allowance shall not be made before the date of disbursement of salary of March, 2014.

5. These orders shall also apply to the civilian employee's paid from the Defence Services Estimates and the expenditure will be

changeable to the relevant head of the Defense Services Estimates. In regard to Armed Forces personnel and Railway employees

separate orders will be issued by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Railways, respectively.

6. In so far as the employees working serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, these orders are issued

with the concurrence of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 22^nd January, 2014

S.O. 198 (E):- Whereas by Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways,

Department of Road Transport and Highways, No. S.O.303(E), dated the 23^rd January 2013 published in The Gazette Of India,

Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) and issued under Sub-section(1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956

(48 of 1956) (here in after referred to as the said act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in

the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/Two lane with paved shoulders), maintenance, management and

operation of National Highway No.234, on the stretch of land from Km.147.975 to Km. 194.555 (Belur-Banavara Section) in the

Districts of Hassan and Chikkamagalur in the State of Karnataka.

And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in Local News Papers "Deccan Herald" (English)

"Prajavani" (Kannada) dated the 14^th June 2013 under sub-section (3A) of the said Act.

And whereas objections have been received and the same have been disposed off by the Competent Authority.

And whereas in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act the competent authority has submitted its report to

the Central Government.

Now therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by

sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the said Schedule

should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub section(2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on

publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the lands specified in the said Schedule shall best absolutely in the Central

Government, free from all encumbrances.
