MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR THE POST OF STENOGRAPHER :-

The candidates must have passed PUC or equivalent examination.

The candidates must have passed Senior Typewriting and Senior Shorthand both in Kannada and English language

conducted by the Department of Public Instructions of the Karnataka Secondary Examination Board or possess an Equivalent

Qualification.

The computer knowledge is a must for the candidates and they have to pass Computer Literacy Test within their probationary

period vide Order No.DPAR 59/SCR/2012 dated:07.07.12 w.e.f.22.03.12.

Scale of Pay: Rs.14550-350-15600-400-17200-450-19000-500-21000-600-24600-700-26700 with admissible allowances.

II. AGE LIMIT :

The candidates must have attained the age of 18 years as on the last date fixed for filing applications and must have not

attained the age of :

40 years in case of persons belonging to SC/ST and Category-I.

38 years in case of persons belonging to any of the category-IIA, or II-B or III-A or III-B of other Backward Classes and

35 years in case of others as on last date fixed for submission of his/her application.

Age relaxation is allowed to in service, Ex-Serviceman, Physically Handicapped and widows.

Candidates claiming the benefit of reservation Categories should furnish the certificate/s in the prescribed Form issued by the

Competent Authority. If certificate is found to be false, the candidates who made such false claim will be prosecuted in

accordance with the relevant provision of Indian Penal Code and such candidates will also forfeit their claims for selection.

III. METHOD OF RECRUITMENT :

The Selection of Candidates shall be made in accordance with the provisions contemplated in the Karnataka Sub-Ordinate

Courts (Ministerial and other Posts) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules 2007.

The Test will be conducted for the post of Stenographers. The candidates must have to appear before the Prl. District and

Sessions Judge in the premises of District Court, Chikkaballapura at their own costs.

IV. THE QUALIFYING TEST FOR SELECTION OF THE STENOGRAPHER.

A dictation at the rate of 120 words per minute shall be given for a duration of about five minutes and candidate shall

transcribe the notes within forty five minutes.

The number of candidates for the post of Stenographer to be included in the eligible list of candidates for interview shall be

equivalent to 05 times of the total number of vacancies notified.

V. PROBATION :

Candidates will be appointed at the first instance, on probation for a period of two years under the provisions of KCS

(Probation) Rules 1977 shall MUTATIS MUTANDIS apply to candidates so selected. During the probation the candidates shall pass the

Kannada Language Examination. if not exempted, and Departmental Examinations prescribed to the post under the K.C.S.(Kannada

Language Examination) Rules 1974.

VI. APPLICANTS WHEN CALLED FOR INTERVIEWS MUST APPEAR AT THEIR OWN EXPENSES.

The Candidates should submit their Applications, complete in all aspects, together with copies of all the testimonials attested

by the candidates in support of their age, qualification caste and income in the prescribed form issued by the competent authority so as

to reach the Prl. District and Sessions Judge, Chikkaballapura on or before 10.09.2015. Envelope containing the application should be

super scribed as “Application for the Post of Stenographer.”

The In-service candidates shall submit their applications through proper channel.

Defective/Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.

The candidates who attempt to obtain extraneous support for his/her candidature shall not be eligible for selection.

VII. APPLICATION IN THE PRESCRIBED PROFORMA SHOULD BE FILLED IN BY THE CANDIDATES IN THEIR OWN

HANDWRITING/TYPED AND MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE FOLLOWING TESTIMONIALS:

Copies of Marks Cards prescribed for the post , duly attested by the candidates.

Three Certificate of Good Character, One from the Principal of College/Head Master/Head Mistress of Institution in which

he/she had last studied and Two from the Respectable Persons unconnected with the candidate.

Copy of PUC/TC in support of age proof attested by the candidates.

Citizenship certificate (where the candidate is not a citizen of Indian by birth) issued by the DC/District Magistrate of the

District in which the candidate is residing.

One passport size photo of candidate shall be affixed on the application from with self-attestation.

Applicants to produce self addressed envelope with required prescribed postal stamps of Rs.5/- for intimation regarding

interview.

Any application received after the due date and incomplete application will not be entertained.

If he or she does not get intimation for skill test / interview it shall be presumed that he/she is not be eligible for the skill test /

interview. No correspondence will be entertained there after if any of the Candidate is not called for the skill test / interview.

The number of vacancies on the classification as noted above is subject to variation.

10) The candidates should submit their requisitions in the application proforma enclosed to this Notification either typed, or

computerized or Xerox of the proforma and should compulsorily filled the Col.No.5 with landline or mobile number.

11) If no suitable candidate is available, in the parallel reservation quota, the reserved posts will be filled converting them into

(others) in the same category except SC & ST Category.
