As several star hotels have come up in the surrounding areas of this project, putting one more star hotel is not
feasible because of lack of demand for hotel rooms. Demand for IT park in this vicinity is increasing. Hence have
decided to modify the hotel building in to IT Park (Tech Park).
The company has now requested following assistance from the Government ;
1.
Change of activity from Star Hotel to IT Park (Tech Park) and requested to direct KIADB to sanction modified
building plan. In case M/s. RMZ Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. intends to develop through its affiliate or group
companies of RMZ, all approvals, clearances, revised building plan sanction by KIADB including any modification
etc., to be granted to RMZ Ecoworld Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.
2.
Extension of time by 3 years to implement the project.
The request of the company has been noted in the 105
th SLSWCC meeting held on 30.12.2017 and also noted the submission of
the company that, as per their original plan they wanted to set up a Five Star Hotel in 14 acres 8.75 guntas of land out of 72 acres 23
guntas of land, where an IT Park has been established with the plan sanction from KIADB. Accordingly, they started construction of the
Hotel building and 2 Basements and part of super structure has been completed. But, in the mean time several Hotels have been
established by others in the vicinity and putting up one more Hotel is not feasible, due to lack of demand for Hotel rooms. But, there is a
good demand for ‘IT office space’ and hence, they have decided to modify the Hotel building into “IT Park”. The Committee felt that the
change of activity proposed by the company is industry related activity and hence can be encouraged.
