can be had from the undersigned on all working days from

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on cash payment of Rs. 400 + VAT

supply of equipments for the use of Industrial Hygiene

Laboratory” and addressed to the Directorate of Factories

and Boilers, T.C. 25/3326, Shani Manzil, East Gate of

District Court, Thiruvananthapuram-695 035.

The last

date and time of acceptance of tenders shall be on

25-11-2008, 3 p. m.

Intending tenderers may on application to the Director

of Factories & Boilers, obtain the requisite tender form in

which tenders should be submitted.

Application for the

tender forms should be accompanied by a cash remittance

of Rs. 400 + 50 (VAT) which is the price fixed for a

tender form/set of forms which is not refundable under any

circumstances.

The cost of duplicate copy of tender form

is Rs. 200 + 25 (VAT).

The cost of tender forms will be

accepted in cash or by Money Order only.

The sale of

tender forms will be closed on 17-11-2008, 3 p.m.

The tenderers should submit an EMD @ 1% of the

total cost of the items tendered along with the tender in the

form of a Crossed Demand Draft in favour of the

Director of Factories and Boilers payable at

Thiruvananthapuram. The EMD will be returned in the

event the tender being not accepted.

Late tenders will not

be accepted.

The tenders will be opened on 26-11-2008

at 2 p.m. in the presence of such of the tenderers or their

authorised representatives who may be present at that time.

The detailed technical specification and terms and

conditions in addition to the provisions prescribed in the

Kerala Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50 is required for

executing the agreement along with the tender. Tender

will be supplied to firms ourside Kerala on remittance of

Rs. 60 separately by Money Order. Rs. 10 is intended to

cover postage and incidental expenses.

Along with tender an amonut which is not less than

one percent of the Tender value should be enclosed as

security deposit. Security deposit should be in the form of

Specification of Rope:

The rope shall have a minimum tensile strength of 1500 kg. breaking strength.

Linear density of rope should be above 35 gms/m.

Abrasion resistance should be 1400 kg. at the end of 1000 cycles.

Thermal stability shall be 1400 kg. strength retained after 3hrs . exposure at 45 degree

centigrade.

UV resistance should be 1400 kg. (strength retain after 500 hours of UV exposure.)

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The suppliers should produce previous experience certificate of supplying polymer rope Gabion boxes to Govern-

ment or Semi Government firms. The manufacturers should have a track record of minium five years in the field of

manufacturing Polymer Gabion boxes. The manufacturers/suppliers should have successfully completed the supply

with in the specified time. In the case of supplies they have to produce authorised certification from the Govt./Semi

Govt. agencies so as to meet the above condition.

The suppliers should produce test certificates of the Gabion boxes from the approved standard agency, probably IIT

during the course of supply.

The selected supplier should produce the sample along with test certificate and the Department have the right to test

the material if necessary with any other agency at Contractors cost for approval.

Every 1000 Nos. of rope Gabion shall deemed to be a lot. A representative gabion shall be

selected from the lot by the Department for testing at the cost of the contractor and the result should be collected

from the approved agency and submitted to department with in seven days.

Random checking by weight will be done by the department for each lot of Gabion boxes.

The contractor shall bear all kind of testing/certificate charges for testing of Gabion material.

The supplier shall produce certificate for the quality of material as specified by the department while supplying for

every 1000 unit of supplying from the approved agency .

The supplier shall arrange technical demonstration for tying top lid, packing rubble etc. to the

departmental officers at site.

The payment for the supply will be made as per prevailing Government rules and no extra

conditions in this regard is acceptable to the department.

The material shall be supplied at the above mentioned sites at Kozhikode and Malappuram District as directed by

the department.

The rate quoted shall be excluding all taxes of State Government. Tax at Government rate will be paid separately.

The supply shall be completed within 30 days from the date of purchase order. If the supply is not made within 30

days, a fine of 5% of the cost of supply order will be imposed flatly for delay. If the supply is delayed further, the

contract agreement will be terminated at the risk and cost of the supplier and the security deposit will be forfeited

to the Government.

13.

The tender schedule will be issued from the Office of the Superintending Engineer, Irrigation North Circle,

Kozhikode upto 1 p.m. on 2-12-2008 at a cost and VAT of tender schedule. The tender schedule will be issued to

the contractors satisfying the special condition (1). The Superintending Engineer, Irrigation North Circle, Kozhikode

reserves the right to issue tender schedule based on genuinly. The decision of the Superintenting

Engineer is the final in the matter of disputes. The tenderer shall also enclosed prescribed EMD by way of demand

draft in favour of Superintending Engineer, Irrigation North Circle, Kozhikode and payable at Kozhikode. The

selected supplier shall execute an agreement in stamp paper worth of Rs. 50 and a security

deposit for an amount of 5% of the quoted amount of the supply.

14.

The supplier shall execute a preliminary agreement in stamp paper worth Rs. 50 in the format

supplied and submit along with tender.

15.

The filled tender should be submitted through registered /speed post of Postal Department. The tender through

courier service will not be accepted.

All prevailing conditions applicable to tenders in Irrigation and Public Works Departments are applicable to this

tender also.
