Sealed tenders are invited from authorised firms/

direct company/branch preferably (ISO certified) for the

supply of Rotary Shaker with specifications attached and

as per the terms and conditions noted below.

The tenders should be superscribed as “Tender for the

supply of Rotary Shaker” addressed to the Senior Chemist,

Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory, Avalookkunnu P. O.

Alappuzha-688 006 so as to reach the undersigned at 5 p. m.

on or before 15-1-2009. Late tenders will not be accepted. The

tenders will be opened at the Regional Soil Analytical

Laboratory, Alappuzha at 3 p.m. on 16-1-2009 in the presence

of such tenderers or their authorized representatives who may

be present at the time.

Intending tenderers may on application to the Senior

Chemist, Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory,

Avalookkunnu P.O., Alappuzha-688 006 obtain the requisite

tender forms on which tenders should be submitted.

The tender forms will be supplied from the Regional Soil

Analytical Laboratory, Alappuzha on office hours by cash

remittance of Rs. 150+VAT which is the price fixed for the

form which is not refundable under any circumstances. The

Duplicate tender forms will be issued @ Rs. 100+ VAT per

copy. The tender forms are not transferable. The sale of

tender forms will be closed at 3 p.m. on 14-1-2009. The rate

quoted should remain firm upto 31-5-2009. The tender

should be accompanied with Earnest Money Deposit of

1% of the total quoted value as Demand Draft payable at

SBT, Thondankulangara, Alappuzha drawn in favour of the

Senior Chemist, Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory,

Alappuzha-688 006.

The price quoted should include all the expenses,

towards delivery and installation of the machine at

Regional Soil Analytical Laboratory, Alappuzha. The

Demand Draft commission charged by the Bank during the

time of payment of money should be borne by the firm

themselves.

The tenders are bound to observe all the rules and

regulations stipulated in the Stores Purchase Manual,

Kerala Financial Code and Treasury Code. The

undersigned has the right to accept or reject any tender at

any time without quoting any reasons in this regard.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The rates quoted should be inclusive of all taxes/

VAT.

Samples should be furnished along with the tender.

All offers should be from ready stock in the original

packing of the manufacturer/supplier.

Packing and containers of drugs shall be as

prescribed in pharmacopeias or Drugs and Cosmetic

rules 1945. Containers made of good plastics must

be used for those items which are to be supplied

in plastic containers.

The Security Deposit furnished will be released

only after satisfactory completion of the contract.

The rates should be for delivery F.O.R.

at any part of the state.

Ex-go down rates and F.O.R. station of despatch

rates offered by the firms are not acceptable and

such tenders will be summarily rejected.

On the label of each packing it should be inscribed

“For the use of Animal Husbandry Department,

Kerala”.

The quantities specified in the schedule are only

approximate and they may vary according to actual

need.

Successful tenderers should supply the items at the

approved rates and conditions to the Local Self

Governments and other Departmental Institutions as

per their request.

The successful tenderers should complete all

supplies within the stipulated time stated in the

supply orders. No extension of supply period will be

granted.

11.

The non-availability of raw materials, price hike of

raw materials, transportation problems etc. will not

be accepted as reasons for non-supply or late

supply.

12.

The rates should be quoted in Indian Currency

and payment will be made in Indian Currency only.

13.

The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves all

rights to cancel the tender without assigning any

reason thereof.

14.

The Director of Animal Husbandry on his authority

has the right to inspect the manufacturing unit.

15.

The only jurisdiction for any dispute regarding this

purchase will be at Thiruvananthapuram.

16.

The photocopies of the documents produced along

with the tender should be attested by a Gazetted

Officer.

17.

If any of the date scheduled for receipt and

opening of tender is declared as holiday, (local or

general) the receipt and opening will be on the next

working day at the same time.

18.

19.

Competitive sealed tenders are invited for the

supply of LCD Projector, 29" Colour TV and Public

Address System to Government College, Mokeri.

The envelops should be superscribed as “Tender for

the supply of LCD Projector/29" CTV/Public Address

System to the Principal, Government College, Mokeri,

Mokeri P. O., Kozhikode District, Pin-673 516 as per Tender

No. 2/2008-09.

Last date of receipt of tender is 16-1-2009, 11 a. m.

and will be opened at 3 p. m. on the same day in the

presence of the tenderers or their authorised

representatives who may be present at that time.

Tenderers should submit their tenders in the prescribed

form which can be had from the undersigned on all working

days from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. on cash payment of Rs. 788

for original tender and Rs. 450 for the duplicate. Those

who wish to get tender forms by post should sent money

order for cost of tender form alongwith the charge of

registered post. The tender forms are not transferable.

An agreement in the prescribed form in Kerala

Government Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50 should be executed

along with the tender. The rate quoted in the tender

should be inclusive of all taxes, cess and duties.

Sale of tender form will be closed at 2 p. m. on

15-1-2009. D. D. in the name of the Principal, Government

Each Bidder shall submit only on quotation.

Validity of quotations—Quotation shall remain valid

for a period not less than 15 days after the deadline date

specified for submission.

Evaluation of quotations—The purchaser will

evaluate and compare the quotations determined to be

substantially responsive, ie., which;

(a) Are properly signed; and

(b) Conform to the terms and conditions and

specifications.

The quotations would be evaluated separately

for each item. Sales tax in connection with sale of goods shall

not be taken into account in evaluation.

Award of contract.—The Purchaser will award the

contract to the bidder whose quotation has been determined

to be substantially responsive and who has offered the lowest

evaluated quotation price.

(a) Notwithstanding the above, the Purchaser

reserves the right to accept or reject any

quotations and to cancel the bidding process

and reject all quotation at any time prior to the

award of contract.

(b) The bidder whose bid is accepted will be

notified of the award of contract by the

Purchaser prior to expiration of the quotation

validity period. The terms of the accepted

offer shall be incorporated in the

Payment shall be made immediately after delivery of

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Specification of Rope

1. The rope shall have a minimum tensile

strength of 1500 kg. breaking strength.

2. Linear density of rope should be above

35gms/m.

3. Abrasion resistance should be 1400 kg. at the end

of 1000 cycles.

4. Thermal stability shall be 1400 kg. strength retained

after 3 hrs. exposure at 45 degree centigrade.

5. UV resistance should be 1400 kg. (strength retain after

500 hours of UV exposure).

Specification of Net

1. Tensile strength should be 9500 kg./m.

2. Punching shear should be 5000 kg.

Specification of braid string :

Braid string to be used for tying Gabion lid shall be

tested for 90 kg. breaking strength.

The period of contract will be upto 31-3-2010.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The

suppliers

should

produce

experience certificate of supplying Polymer rope

Gabion boxes to Government or Semi Government

firms. The manufacturers/suppliers should have a

track record of long term performance (minimum five

years ) in the field of manufacturing Polymer

Gabion boxes and having successfully completed

the supply within the specified time in the case of

suppliers they have to produce authorized certifica-

tion from the manufacturers so as to meet the

above condition.

The suppliers should produce test certificate of

the Gabion boxes from the approved standard

agency during the course of supply. Copy of

agreement for testing agency will be produced

at the time of purchasing tender schedule

(By LRA/ABS/IIT).

The selected supplier should produce the sample

along with test certificate and the Department have

the right to test the material if necessary with any

other agency at their cost for approval.

Every 1000 nos. of rope Gabion shall deemed to

be a lot. A representative Gabion shall be selected

from the lot by the Department for testing and the

result should be collected from the approved

agency and submit to department with in

sevendays.

Random checking by weight will be done by the

department for each lot of Gabion boxes.

The contractor shall bear all kind of testing/

certification charges for testing of Gabion

material.

The supplier shall produce certificate for the quality

of material as specified by the department while

supplying for every 1000 unit of supplying from

the approved agency.

The supplier shall arrange technical demonstration

for tying top lid, packing rubble etc. to the

departmental officers at site.

The payment for the supply will be made as per

prevailing

Government

rules and no extra

conditions in this regard is acceptable to the

department.

Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha site

as directed by the department.

The rate quoted shall be excluding all taxes of

State Government Tax at Government rate will be

paid separately at prevailing rates.

The supply shall be completed within 15 days

from the date of purchase order. If the supply is

not made within 15 days a fine of 5% of the

cost of supply order will be imposed flatly for

delay. If the supply is delayed further, the

contract agreement will be terminated at the risk

and cost of the supplier and the security deposit

will be forfeited to the Government.

The tender schedule will be issued from the

Office of the Superintending Engineer, Irrigation

South Circle, Thiruvananthapuram upto 4 p. m. on

7-1-2009 at a cost of Rs. 4,000 + VAT. The tender

schedule will be issued to the contractors

satisfying the

Special Condition (1) & (2).

The Superinending Engineer, Irrigation South Circle,

Thiruvananthapuram reserves the right to issue

tender

schedule

based

on genuinely.

The decision of the Superintending Engineer

is final in the matter of disputes. The supplier

shall also enclose EMD of Rs. 50,000 by

way of Demand Draft in favour of Superintending

Engineer, Irrigation South Circle, Thiruvanantha-

puram payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The selected

supplier shall executive an agreement in stamp

paper worth Rs. 50 and a security deposit for an

amount of 5% of the quoted amount of the supply.

The supplier shall execute a preliminary agreement

in stamp paper worth Rs. 50 in the format supplied

along with tender documents.

14.

The filled tender should be submitted through

registered/speed post of Indian Postal Service. The

tender through courier service will not be accepted.

All prevailing conditions applicable to tenders in
