Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the Notification, but is intended to indicate its
general purport.)
Special Rules for the Kerala Statistics and Economics Service were
issued in 1967 as per G. O. (P) No. 82/67/PD dated 3-3-1967. Since then a
large number of amendments were made to the various provisions in the Rules.
Some of the categories have been deleted and some others newly added. The
Director of Economics and Statistics has proposed some amendments to some
of the provisions. In order to incorporate the amendments and also for making
further amendments wherever necessary, it is decided to issue the Special Rules
afresh in supersession of all the rules on the subject.
This notification is intended to achieve the above object.
