not acceptable. Late tenders will not be accepted.

Tender forms should not be handed over to others. Filled

forwarded to 'The Chief Veterinary Officer, District

Veterinary Centre, Thiruvambady, Thrissur-680 022' by

directly or by post, but this office not responsible for any

postal delay. The Earnest Money Deposit should be taken

in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Chief Veterinary

Officer, District Veterinary Centre, Thrissur payable at

State Bank of Travancore, Thrissur. If the opening date

of tender may be declared as a holiday it will be opened

on next working day. The undersigned reserves all rights

Sealed and competitive tenders in the prescribed form

are invited for the supply of Instruments/Equipments Egg

Incubator or Microprocessor controlled Incubator

(Memmert type) and Serological Water bath required for

Research and Development project approved for Clinical

Laboratory, District Veterinary Centre, Palakkad. Separate

list of instruments/equipments with specifications attached.

Envelope containing the tender should be super-

scribed “Tender for the supply of Instruments/Equipments

Egg Incubator or Microprocessor controlled Incubator

(Memmert type)/Serological Water bath Tender

No. 1/2008-09.” The envelope must have following

enclosures.

(1) Original Catalogue/Brochure of the quoted items.

(2) Rate of each item should be quoted as basic price,

rate of tax and total amount.

(3) Original tender form duly signed by authorised

signatory.

(4) Preliminary agreement in Kerala stamp paper worth

Rs. 50.

(5) EMD @ 1% of total cost of quoted items by means

of Demand Draft drawn in favour of undersigned.

supply of equipments 2009-10 and should be addressed

to the Principal, Government Law College, Kozhikode.

The last date for receipt of tenders is 3 p. m. on

16-12-2009. Late tenders will not be accepted. The

tenders will be opened at 4 p. m. on the same day in the

presence of the tenderers or their authorised

representatives who may be present at that time.

Intending tenderers can have the tender forms on

demand from the Principal, Government Law College,

Kozhikode on a Cash Payment of Rs. 400 + VAT

upto 2.30 p. m. on all working days. The tender forms are

not transferable. DDs/Cheques/Postal Orders etc. are not

acceptable towards the cost of tender forms. Money

Orders are acceptable. Those who require tender forms by

post should submit their request with a self addressed

envelope affixing postage stamp worth Rs. 27 together

with the cost of tender form.

An agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper Worth Rs. 50

should be executed while submitting the tender. EMD at

the rate of 1% of the total cost of equipments quoted in

the tender should be remitted by DD drawn in favour of

the Principal, Government Law College, Kozhikode. The

article should be supplied within 30 days of the receipt of

valid supply order and the price noted in the tender

should be valid up to 31-3-2010. Further details can be

Principal, N.M.S.M. Government College, Kalpetta,

Puzhamudi P. O., Wayanad. Obtain the requisite tender

will be opened on the next woking day at the same time.

The Pricipal is empowered to cancel tender without

assigning any reasons thereof. The payment of the

articles supplied and installed will be effected only after it

got tested and certified by experts from NIC or by other

competent authority. Rates, Sales tax and condition of

supply and installation etc. should be clearly stated in

respect of each item. Tenders should specify the brand

names and specification of the items they intend to

supply.

The successful tenderer should also execute an

agreement on Stamp paper worth Rs. 50 and deposit a

sum equivalent 5% of the value of the contract as

security deposit for the satisfactory fullfilment of

The last date of receipt of tender is at 4.00 p. m. on

16-12-2009 and the tender will be opened at 4.30 p. m. on

the same day in the presence of the tenderers, who are

present at the time of opening.

SPECIFICATION AND QUANTITY

1.

Supply of 4 strand tarred (or equivalent) polymer

rope (poly propylene with adequate ultra violet stabilizer)

gabion boxes of size 1 m. x 1 m. x 1 m. with mesh of

opening size 150 mm. x 150 mm. including necessary braid

string for top lid etc. complete—464 Nos. for Sl. No.1 and

600 Nos. for Sl. No. 2.

Supply of 4 strand tarred (or equivalent) polymer

opening size 150 mm. x 150 mm. including necessary braid

string for top lid etc. complete—1044 Nos. for Sl. No.1 and

1776 Nos. for Sl. No. 2.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

A. Rope

(1) The rope shall have a minimum tensile strength

of 1500 kg. breaking strength.

(2) Linear density of rope should be above

35 gms/m

(3) Abrasion resistance should be 1400 kg. at the

end of 1000 cycles.

(4) Thermal Stability shall be 1400kg strength

retained after 3 hrs. exposure at 45 degree centigrade.

(5) UV resistance should be 1400 kg. (strength retain

after 5.00 hours UV exposure)

B. Net

(1) Tensile strength should be 9500 kg/m.

(2) Punching shear should be 5000 kg.

C. Braid string

(1) Braid string to be used for tying gabion lid shall

be tested for 90 kg. breaking strength.

The Firm period of tender will be 4 (four) months

from the fixed last date of receipt of tender.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

1.

The suppliers should produce previous experience

certificate of supplying Polymer rope Gabion boxes to

Government or semi Government firms. The

manufacturers should have a track record of minimum

three years in the field of manufacturing polymer

Gabion boxes. The manufacturers/ suppliers should

have successfully completed the supply with in the

specified time. In the case of suppliers they have to

produce authorised certification from the Govt./Semi

Govt. agencies so as to meet the above condition.

2.

The Tender schedule will be issued from the Office of

the Superintending Engineer, Irrigation North Circle,

Kozhikode upto 1. p. m. on 10-12-2009 at the cost

and VAT of tender schedule. The tender schedule will

be issued to the contractors satisfying the special

condition (1) The Superintending Engineer, Irrigation

North Circle, Kozhikode reserves the right to issue

tender schedule based on genuinetly. The decision of

the Superintending Engineer is final in the matter of

disputes.

3.

The Tenderer shall also enclose prescibed EMD by

way of demand draft in favour of Superintending

Engineer, Irrigation North Circle, Kozhikode and

payable at Kozhikode.

4.

The supplier shall execute a preliminary agreement in

stamp paper worth Rs. 50 in the format supplied and

submit along with tender.

5.

The selected supplier shall execute an agreement in

stamp paper worth of Rs. 50 after submitting a

security deposit for an amount of 5 % of the quoted

amount of the supply.

6.

The filled tender should be submitted through

registered/speed post of Postal Department. The

tender through courier service will not be accepted.

7.

The suppliers should produce test certificates of the

Gabion boxes from the approved standard agency,

probably IIT during the course of supply.

8.

The selected supplier should produce the sample

along with test certificate and the Department have

the right to test the material if necessary with any

other agency at Contractors cost for approval.

9.

Every 1000 Nos. of rope Gabion shall deemed to be a

lot. A representative gabion shall be selected from the

lot by the Department for testing at the cost of the

contractor and the result should be collected from the

approved agency and submitted to department within

seven days.

10.

Random checking by weight will be done by the

department for each lot of Gabion boxes.

11.

The contractor shall bear all kind of testing/certificate

charges for testing of Gabion material.

12.

The supplier shall produce certificate for the quality

of material as specified by the department while

supplying for every 1000 unit of supplying from the

approved agency.

13.

The supplier shall arrange technical demonstration

for tying top lid, packing rubble etc. to the

departmental officers at site.

14.

The payment for the supply will be made as per

prevailing Government Rules and no extra conditions

in this regard is acceptable to the department.

15.

The material shall be supplied at the above mentioned

sites at Kozhikode District as directed by the

department.

16.

The rate quoted shall be excluding all taxes of State

Government. Tax at Government rate will be paid

separately.

17.

The supply shall be completed within 30 days from

the date of purchase order. If the supply is not made

within 30 days, a fine of 5 % of the cost of supply

order will be imposed flatly for delay. If the supply is

delayed further, the contract agreement will be

terminated at the risk and cost of the supplier and the

security deposit will be forfeited to the Government.

All prevailing conditions applicable to tenders in

Irrigation and Public Works Department are applicable to

this tender also.

The tenders should also mention the details

regarding warranty along with the tender documents.

Preference will be given to the products quoted by the

manufacturer or their authorized dealers having

authorization from the original manufacturer. Similarly

preferences will be given to the tenderers having

experience of supplying similar/ same items to Government

Department, Organizations or Scientific Institutions.

As the items are urgently required, the selected

bidder will have to supply the item within two weeks. In

case there is any delay in supplying the items due to any

pressing circumstances, the tenderers must cite adequate,

justifiable grounds in writings.

Specifications of the above items and more details

can be obtained from Forensic Science Laboratory,

Thiruvananthapuram. Samples will have to be submitted

free of cost whenever necessary which can be returned

only after the supply is effected. Police Department is not

liable to send any individual communication. The rates

Kerala.

General of Police (Prisons), Prisons Headquarters,

Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram-12.

The PAC of the tender will be Rs. 12,10,000 (Rupees

Twelve Lakhs Ten Thousand only).

E.M.D. will be 12 noon. on 15-12-2009 and will be opened

at 2 p.m. on the same day in the presence of such

tenderers or their authorised representatives who may be

present at that time.

Late tenders will not be accepted. The rates quoted
