Sealed competitive tenders are invited for the
following Laboratory Equipments for the implementation of
the Scheme RKVY (Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana) to
Mobile Soil Testing Laboratory, Alappuzha-3.
Details of Equipment—Centrifuge—Holding 24 test tubes
of 15ml capacity each and having 2400 rpm with timer—

CONDITIONS
1.
This tenders will be abide by all the rules related
to Government Tenders.
2.
Tender forms can be obtained from the office of the
Assistant Soil Chemist, Mobile Soil Testing
Laboratory, Alappuzha on payment of Rs. 300+VAT
12.5% from 7-12-2009 onwards.
3.
Tender forms are not transferable and are not sent
as V.P.P. Cost is realised as cash D.D., Cheque,
Credit Card etc. are not accepted.
4.
Last date of issue of tender forms is 7-1-2010 upto
1 p.m.
5.
Last date of acceptance of tender is at 3 p. m. on
7-1-2010.
6.
Date and time of opening of tender is at 3.30 p. m.
on 7-1-2010.
7.
1% of the quoted amount should be deposited as
E. M. D. at the time of submission of tender.
8.
The price quoted should be inclusive of all duties
and cesses etc. which are or may become
payable by the tenderer under existing or future law
or rules of the court for supply during the current
year of contract.
9.
An agreement should be executed by the tenderer
in a stamp paper worth Rs. 50 as notified in the
tender form.
10.
The lowest tenderer should furnish a security
deposit of 5% of the quoted amount.
11.
The right to postpone or restructure the process of
tender is vested with the undersigned.
12.
Finalisation of tender is subjected to the
confirmation of the Director of Agriculture,
Thiruvananthapuram.
13.
In case the proposed date of opening of the tender
is a Government declared holiday, the opening of the
tender will be postponed to the next working day at
the proposed time.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1.
The rates quoted should be inclusive of all
taxes only.
2.
Each Setter and Hatcher should be covered by a
minimum gurantee period of 2 years including spare
parts from the date of installation and trail run.
3.
Each Setter and Hatcher should be covered by
Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for a period
of 5 years from the date of installation and trail run.
4.
Instruction manual, full technical wiring diagram
with components, outside dimensions, floor space,
minimum space required in the front side of the
machine, room door size, ventilation etc. should be
specified and a copy shall be submitted along with
the tender.
5.
Electrical and water supply details, complete
installation as per the rules and regulations of the
electrical inspectorate should be done by the
supplier in the space provided by this department
including water connection. Department will
provide only room to install the Setter and Hatcher
including the electric supply point and water
supply point.
6.
The supply should be from the new stock noting
the original specification, make of model etc.
7.
The supply and installation should be completed as
per the date mentioned in the supply order.
8.
The tenderers shall quote only factory assembled
sets and sets and equipments brought in parts and
assembled in site will not be accepted.
9.
The rate quoted should be in Indian currency and
the payment will also be in Indian currency.
10.
Ex-godown rates for destination will not be
accepted and such tenders will be summarily
rejected.
11.
The successful tenderers should complete all
supplies within the stipulated time stated in the
supply orders. No extension of supply period will
be granted.
12.
Offers of conditional supply will not be considered.
13.
Payment will be effected only after successful
installation and trial run. Advance payment is not
possible.
14.
The firms registered with Kerala Store Purchase
Department and NSIC Ltd., should produce a copy
of current Registration Certificate along with the
tender for exemption of EMD.
15.
The security deposit furnished by the firm will be
released only after the guarantee period.
16.
If the date scheduled for receving/opening of
tenders is declared as holiday (local/general)
tenders will be received and opened on the next
working day respectively.
17.
The Assistant Director (P), Regional Poultry Farm,
Kudappanakunnu, reserves all the rights to delete
any items from the tender without assigning any
reason thereof.
18.
The only jurisdiction for any dispute regarding this
purchase will be at Thiruvananthapuram.
19.

Sealed tenders are invited for the purchase of Health
and Fitness Equipments as per list attached of the
Physical Education Department under UGC Fund 2009 to
Govt. College, Mananthavady.
The tenders should be superscribed as Supply of
"Sports goods to Government College, Mananthavady,
Plan 2009-10" and addressed to Principal, Govt. College,
Mananthavady, Nallurnad P.O., Pin-670 645. Last date of
receipt of tender in the College Office is 3 p.m. on
5-1-2010. Late tender will not be accepted. The tender will
be opened at 2 p.m. on 6-1-2010 in the presence of such
tenderer or their authorized representatives who may
present at that time. Estimate cost is Rs. 1,00,000.
Intending tenderer may on application to the
Principal, Govt. College, Mananthavady, obtain the
requisite tender forms on which tenders should be
submitted. The cost of tender form is Rs. 450 which is the
price fixed for a form and it is not refundable under any
circumstances. Duplicate copy of tender from is Rs. 225.
Application for tender form through post should be
accompanied by a Money Order remittance of Rs. 485.
Cheques, Postal Orders. Demand Draft etc. will not be
accepted towards the cost of tender form. The forms will
not be sent by VPP. The last date for the sale of tender
form will be 2 p. m. on 5-1-2010. The tender forms are
not transferable. Every tender should be accompanied by
an EMD 1% of the total cost of the articles tendered for.
An agreement has to be executed in Kerala Stamp Paper
worth Rs. 50 along with the each tender. The Principal
reserves himself the right to accept or to reject any or all
the tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
Successful tenderer should furnish an agreement in
Kerala Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50 and to be deposit 5%
amount of total cost as security deposit. Locally
assembled articles will not accepted. Tenders should
specify the rate, quantity and brand name of the items.
The payment will be effected only after the itmes got
verified by competent authority. The sucessful tenderer
should deliver and install the items in the college and the
cost of the same will include in the price quoted.

installation of Lab Equipments under UGC Fund for the
Physics Department of Govt. College, Mananthavady as
per list attached.
The tenders should be superscribed as "Supply and
Installation of Physics Lab Equipments to Government
College, Mananthavady, 2009-10", and addressed to
Principal, Govt. College, Mananthavady, Nallurnad P. O.,

the undersigned in the prescribed pro forma for the

Manufactures/Authorized suppliers to Malayattoor
Division, Kodanad.

The articles described above should be made up of
materials of superior quality and should have high
standard of workmanship of ISO standards. All the
materials supplied should be guaranteed by the
manufacturer against any defective material and
workmanship. Each tender should be enclosed with
Earnest Money Deposit for an amount of 1% of the
tendered amount. The EMD should be in the form of
demand draft/banker's cheque in favour of the
undersigned payable at State Bank of Travancore,
Perumbavoor Branch. The EMD will be returned to the
unsuccessful tenderers within one week from the date of
the opening of tenders.
The tenders will be opened on the appointed day
and time in the office of the undersigned, in the presence
of such of those tenderers or their nominees who may be
present at that time.
If any tenderer withdraws from his tender before the
expiry of the period fixed for keeping the rates firm for
acceptance, the earnest money if any, deposited by him

The tenderer shall invariably specify in their tenders
the delivery conditions including the time required for the

The final acceptance of the tenders rests entirely

supplies included in their tenders as may be allotted to

In the case of materials of technical nature, the
successful tenderer should be prepared to guarantee
satisfactory performance for the definite period under a
definite penalty.

The successful tenderer shall also execute an
agreement for the due fulfilement of the contract within
the period specified in the letter of acceptance. Failure to
execute the agreement within the period specified will
entail the legal action.

Competitive tenders in sealed cover superscribing the
name of work is invited for and on behalf of the Governor
of Kerala by the under signed from contractors of eligible
class. The tenders will be received upto 4 p. m. on
6-1-2010 by registered post and will be opened at 4. 30 p.
m. on the same day. Tenders through courier service will
not be accepted. Department will not be responsible for
the postal delay. If the last date of receipt of tenders will
be a holiday, tenders will be opened at the same time on
the next day. Tender forms and other details can be had

boxes of 2m×1m×1m, 1m×1m×1m and 1m×1m×0.50 m size
9 mm, 4 strand tarred (or equivalent) polymer rope (Poly
propylene with adequate ultra violet stabilizer) with mesh
of opening size 150 mm×150 mm including necessary braid
string for top lid and necessary rope for tying Gabion
boxes together etc. for the work of 12th FC ASE work
reformation of damaged sea wall from ch. 9.270 km. to
9.370 km. at Chanakazheekam—Rs. 12.87 Lakhs.

The quantity of supply of Gabion boxes may vary as
per requirement.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Rope:
1.
The rope shall have a minimum tensile strength of
1500 kg. breaking strength.
2.
Linear density of rope should be above
35 gms/m.
3.
Abrasion resistence should be 1400 kg. at the end
of 1000 cycles.
4.
Thermal stability shall be 1400 kg. strength
retained after 3hrs. exposure at 45 degree
centigrade.
5.
UV resistance should be 1400 kg. (strength retain
after 500 hours of UV exposure).
Net :
1.
Tensile strength should be 9500 kg./m.
2.
Punching shear should be 5000 kg.
Braid string :
Braid string to be used for tying gabion lid shall
be tested for 90 kg. breaking strength.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1.
The suppliers should produce previous experience
certificate of supplying polymer rope Gabion boxes
to Government or semi Government firms. The
manufacturers/suppliers should have a track record
of long term performance (minimum three years) in
the field of manufacturing Polymer Gabion
boxes and having successfully completed the
supply within the specified time. In the case of
suppliers they have to produce authorised
certification from the manufactures so as to meet
the above condition.
2.
The suppliers should produce test certificate of
the Gabion boxes from the approved standard
agency during the course of supply. Copy of
agreement for testing agency will be produced at
the time of purchasing tender schedule (By LRA/
ABS/IIT).
3.
The selected supplier should produce the sample
along with test certificate and the Department have
the right to test the material if necessary with any
other agency at their cost for approval.
4.
Every 1000 Nos. of rope Gabion shall deemed to
be a lot. A representative gabion shall be
selected from the lot by the Department for testing
and the result should be collected from the approved
agency and submit to department within seven
days.
5.
Random checking by weight will be done by the
department for each lot of Gabion boxes.

6.
The contractor shall bear all kind of testing/
certification charges for testing of Gabion material.
7.
The supplier shall produce certificate for the quality
of material as specified by the department while
supplying for every 1000 unit of supplying from
the approved agency.
8.
The supplier shall arrange technical demonstration
for tying top lid, packing rubble etc. to the
departmental officers at site.
9.
The payment for the supply will be made as per
prevailing Government rules and no extra
conditions in this regard is acceptable to the
department.
10.
The material shall be supplied at Kollam sites as
directed by the department.
11.
The rate quoted shall be excluding all taxes of
State Government. Tax at Government rate will be
paid separately at prevailing rates.
12.
The supply shall be completed within 15 days
from the date of purchase order. If the supply is
not made within 15 days a fine of 5% of the cost
of supply order will be imposed flatly for delay. If
the supply is delayed further, the contract
agreement will be terminated at the risk and cost of
the supplier and the security deposit will be
forfeited to the Government.

The tender schedule will be issued from the Office
of the Superintending Engineer, Irrigation South
Circle, Thiruvananthapuram upto 4 p.m. on
4-1-2010. The tender schedule will be issued to the
contractors satisfying the special condition
(1) & (2). The Superintending Engineer, Irrigation
South Circle, Thiruvananthapuram reserves the
right to issue tender schedule based on genuinely.
The decision of the superintending Engineer is
final in the matter of disputes. The supplier shall
also enclose EMD of Rs. 50,000 by way of demand
draft in favour of Superintending Engineer,
Irrigation South Circle, Thiruvananthapuram
payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The selected
supplier shall execute an agreement in Stamp Paper
worth of Rs. 50 and a security deposit for an
amount of 5% of the quoted amount of the
supply.
14.
The supplier shall execute a preliminary agreement
in Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50 in the format supplied
along with tender documents.
15.
The filled tender should be submitted through
registered /speed post of Indian Postal Service. The
tender through courier service will not be
accepted.
All prevailing conditions applicable to tenders in
Irrigation and Public Works Departments are applicable to
this tender also.
