undersigned on all working days from 6-1-2010 to

14-1-2010, upto 1 p.m. on application in writing, proving

the eligibility and on payment of cost and VAT. Tenders

for the work shall be submitted in sealed cover with

superscription of the name of work on or before

3 p.m. on 21-1-2010 to the Superintending Engineer,

Harbour Engineering Central Circle, Ernakulam-18. Tenders

received after 3 p. m. on 21-1-2010 due to postal delay or

on any other reasons will not be considered. Department

will not be responsible for any such delays. If the last

date of receipt of tender happens to be a holiday, tender

will be accepted up to 3 p. m. on the next working day.

Preliminary Agreement signed in Kerala Stamp Paper worth

Rs. 50 and document for required EMD pledged in favour

of the Superintending Engineer, Harbour Engineering

Central Circle, Ernakulam-18 are also to be submitted

along with the tender. The tender submitted without

preliminary agreement and required EMD will be rejected

outright. The tenders will be opened at 3.30 p.m. on the

last date of receipt of tender in the presence of tenderers/

authorized agents present at the time. The firm period of

the tender shall be 4 months from the date of opening of

the tender. All the conditions in the Kerala P.W.D. and

all other conditions prevailing for consideration of

tenders will be applicable to this tenders also. Govt. Order

No. (RT) 255/04/F&PD dated 29-6-2004 and allied orders

will be applicable for these tenders. The under signed

reserves the right to reject the application for issuance of

tender forms and also the submitted tender of any

tenderer without assigning any reason. While evaluating

tenders, regard would be paid to national defence and

security considerations.

of not less than 150 lakhs during the last five years. The

Competitive tenders in two separate sealed covers for

pre-qualfication and execution of the following works are

invited by the Superintending Engineer, Harbour

Engineering North Circle, Kozhikode for and on behalf

of the Governor of Kerala from financially sound

registered ‘A’ class Contractors/Firms of Kerala State

PWD, Irrigation Department/Central PWD having previous

Service willl not be accepted. If the last date of the

receipt of tenders happens to be holiday, tenders will be

accepted upto 4 p.m. on the next working day.

Preliminary agreement duly filled in and signed on stamp

paper worth Rs.50 should accompany the tender for the

work and the required EMD pledged in favour of the

undersigned should also be enclosed in a separate cover.

Tender submitted without preliminary agreement and EMD

(duly pledged) will be rejected outright. The Pre-

qualification tenders alone will be opened on the same

day at 4.30 p.m. by the undersigned or by his authorised

representative in the presence of tenderers or their

representatives who may present at that time and will be

submitted to the Chief Engineer for scrutiny and

evaluation by the Committee constituted for this purpose.

Only the tenders of those who have been pre-qualified

will be opened later and the tenders of those who have

not been Pre-qualified will be summarily rejected without

opening the tender. The firm period of the tender will be

four months from the date of opening of the tender. The

date of opening of the tenders of the contractors/firms

who have been pre-qualified will be intimated later.

All the conditions in the Government Order

(MS) No. 43/99/IRD, dated 9-6-1999 and other conditions

for considering the tenders will be applicable for this

tender also. No price preference of any type shall be

given to any Co-operative Societies in this work. The

conditions of G.O. (Rt.) No. 255/04/F&PD, dated 29-6-2004

will be applicable to this tender also. The undersigned

reserves the right to deny any application for

Pre-qualification and tender documents and to reject the

tender submitted by the applicant without assigning any

reason. All conditions prevailing in Kerala Public Works

Department regarding tender and other conditions for

tender consideration are applicable to this tender also.

While evaluating tenders, regard would be paid to

National Defence and Security consideration.
