Sealed and competitive tenders are invited from the

Producers/Suppliers, under “Two cover system” for the

purchase of approximately Five lakh numbers of cross

bred pullets for the use of Animal Husbandry Department,

Kerala under Food Security Project for the year 2009-10.

Tender No.—17/2009-10.

Price of tender form:

Original—Rs. 25,000 +VAT @ 12.5% = Rs. 28,125.

Duplicate—Rs. 12,500 +VAT @ 12.5% = Rs. 14,063.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

The birds should be cross bred ready to lay pullets

of 135 to 150 days with an approximate body weight of

1.2-1.5 kg. suited for backyard rearing, dewormed and

protected against Ranikhet Disease.

First Cover (Cover A-Technical) will have the

following enclosures :

Specification of the birds without rate.

Documents to prove the source of birds.

Undertaking that the birds supplied are dewormed

and protected against Ranikhet Disease.

Undertaking that the birds will be supplied at the

specified spots in the specified time in the

Panchayats of the Districts as per directions of the

District Animal Husbandry Officers.

Documents regarding date of hatch and vaccination

to be produced.

If produces, the certificate of licence, source of

eggs/parent stock & if suppliers, authorization

letter of the producers along with the certificate of

licence, source of eggs/parent stock of the

producers.

Details of previous supplies to Government

agencies shall be preferred.

Documents of performance record of farms owned

by the producers/suppliers.

Attested copies of the ownership documents.

An affidavit in stamp paper worth Rs. 50 notarized

by a Notary Public of either the place where the

person making the affidavit is residing or of

Thiruvananthapuram signed by the owner

of the firm.

A covering letter with name, address, Pin code,

Tel/Fax No., E-mail Address and other details of the

firm in which the list of enclosures are specified and

address to the Director, Department of Animal

Husbandry, Thiruvananthapuram.

Second Cover (Cover B-Financial) will have the

following enclosures :

Quoted rates (inclusive of all charges).

Original tender form duly signed by authorized

signatory.

Preliminary agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper

worth Rs. 50.

EMD (1% of the total cost of items quoted in the

form of Demand Draft in favour of Director of

Animal Husbandry, Kerala and payable at

Thiruvananthapuram).

Both covers (A & B) must be effectively sealed and

put in another cover, which shall also be sealed and

submitted. Cover A and B will be opened as per the

schedule attached. Cover ‘B’ of those tenderers who

satisfy the conditions in Cover ‘A’ will only be opened.

Details can be had along with the tender form, Government

of Kerala Website www.kerala.gov.in and the Department

website ahdkerala.gov.in. Intending tenderers may send

the exact amount towards the cost of tender form and can

have the tender form from the office during office hours

on remitting the amount in cash. Cheques, Postage

Stamps, Postal Orders, Demand Drafts etc. will not be

accepted as the cost of tender form nor the form be sent

by Value Payable Post. Tender form can be obtained from

the Office of the Director of Animal Husbandry on

payment of the cost in cash during office hours. Late

tenders will not be considered under any circumstances.

Tenders should be superscribed as “Tender No. 17/2009-10

for the supply of cross bred pullets for the year 2009-10”.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The rates quoted should be inclusive of all taxes

and other charges.

The rates quoted can be common for all districts or

district-wise rates can be quoted.

The birds should be healthy, alert and without any

infectious & contagious diseases. Only healthy

birds will be accepted at the time of distribution.

If mortality occurs within 10 days of supply, the

birds should be replaced.

Payment will be effected only on satisfactorily

completion of supplies at all districts/districts for

which supply order is placed.

The Security Deposit (5% of the total amount)

furnished will be released only after satisfactory

completion of the contract.

The rates should be for delivery f.o.r. destination.

The successful tenderers should complete all

supplies within the stipulated time stated in the

supply orders. No extension of supply period will

be granted.

The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves all

rights to cancel the tender without assigning any

reason thereof.

The Director of Animal Husbandry or his authority

has the right to inspect the production unit.

11.

The only jurisdiction for any dispute regarding this

purchase will be at Thiruvananthapuram.

12.

The certificates of the producers showing date of

hatch and vaccination should be produced at the

time of distribution. If photocopy it should be

attested by a Gazetted Officer.

13.

If any of the dates scheduled is declared as holiday

(local/general), tenders will be opened on the next

working day at the same time.

14.

The birds are to be supplied at the specified spots

in the specified time in the Panchayats of the

Districts as per directions of the District Animal

Husbundry Officers. Details of spots for supplies

will be served along with the tender forms.

15.

The Director of Animal Husbandry reserves the

right to delete, waive any of the above special

conditions.

Chest to the Office of Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam during

2009-10 under Non Plan Scheme.

The tenders should be superscribed as “Tender

No. XVIII/2009-10 supply of Cash Chest to the Office of

the Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam under Non Plan Fund

2009-10 and addressed to the Principal, Maharaja’s College,

Ernakulam. The tenders will be opened at 3.30 p. m. on

15-2-2010 in the presence of such of the tenderers or their

authorised representatives who may be present at that time.

Late tenders will not be accepted.

Estimated Cost is Rs. 80,000.

EMD—1%.

Intending tenderers may, on application to the

Principal, Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, Kochi-11 obtain

the requisite tender forms (before 2 p.m. on all working

days) on which tenders should be submitted. Application

for the tender form should be accompanied by a cash

remittance of Rs. 450 (Rs. 400+50 ST), which is the price

fixed for the form and which is not refundable under any

circumstances. Those who wish to get the tender form by

post, have to sent Rs. 500 by Money Order. In the case

of bidder outside Kerala, Stamp Paper worth Rs. 50 for

executing agreement will be sent on their request along

with an additional amount of Rs. 50. The tender forms are

System Specification—Supply of Solar powered self

contained and completely sealed microprocessor controlled

maintenance free RED/GREEN high intensity LED based

navigational aid with crystal clear unbreakable focusing

lens shade having 20 candela peak intensity and 3 Nm.

The unit shall be water and weather proof as per IP67

(NEMA 6), marine grade with trouble free, maintenance

free, replacable battery housed in a separate openable

compartment capable of trouble free operation for 15 days

without proper or nil solar charging, low battery shut

down feature, automatic ON-OFF switch for DUSK to

DAWN operation capable of remote programming to

produce all standard flash pattern as per IALA standard.

The unit shall be setted to the selected flash pattern as

required at the suppliers risk. The manufacturer should

possess ISO 9000 and CE certification.
