the date and time specified below.

Original—Rs. 1,500 + 12.5% VAT = Rs. 1,688.
Duplicate—Rs. 750 + 12.5% VAT = Rs. 844.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
1.
All offers should be from the manufacturers of the
items
quoted
or
from
their
authorised
representatives and with original specifications,
make, models etc.
2.
All successful tenderers should complete all the
supplies within the stipulated time as mentioned in
the supply order. No extension of time will be
granted beyond this under any circumstances.
3.
The leaflets, illustrated catalogue if any of the
equipment/instrument quoted shall be sent along
with the tender.
4.
Equipments supplied should have a minimum
warranty period of 2 years.
5.
The prices quoted should be inclusive of all taxes,
duties, cesses etc.
6.
The rates quoted should be as a single unit in
Indian currency, and payment will be made in
Indian currency only.
7.
Offers of conditional supply to the Department will
not be considered.
8.
The rates should be for delivery at the District
Veterinary Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
9.
Ex-Godown rates and F. O. R. Station of Despatch
rates offered by the firms are not accepted and
such tenders will be summarily rejected.
10.
Payment will be effected only after ascertaining the
quality and working condition and successful trail
run of the items supplied, subject to the availability
of funds and priority of supplies.
11.
The security deposit furnished by the firms will be

undersigned from 24-2-2010 to 2-3-2010 upto 1p.m. on ap-
plication in writing on payment of the value of the
tender form and schedule (Not Refundable) either in cash
or by money order. The tender will be opened by the
undersigned on 2-3-2010 at 4 p.m. in the presence of
tenderers/authorised officers who are present at that
time. In the event of the day specified for tender receipt
and opening being declared as holiday for the purchasers
office, the next working day will be the day for
submission of the tender and opening at the time pre-
scribed. If the tender could not be held on 2-3-2010, it
will be held on 5-3-2010. The successful tenderers will
have to execute an agreement on Kerala Stamp Paper
worth Rs. 50 along with tender. Late and defective
tenders will not be accepted.
The undersigned reserves the right to cancel the
tenders in unavoidable circumstances without stating any

tenders will not be accepted. Tender will be opened at the
time and date noted above tender in the presence of such
tenderers or their authorized representatives who may be
present at that time. Intending tenderers may obtain the
tender forms from the undersigned on all working days
from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Cheques, Drafts, Postage Stamps
will not be accepted towards the cost of tender forms.
Duplicate tender, if required will be issued on additional
payments as shown in the schedule. Tender form is not
transferable and the cost is not refundable. Tender forms
will be supplied to the firm by registered post subject to
be a cash payment of Rs. 50 in addition as postage
charges. Money Orders will be accepted only if received
within 10 clear working days prior to due date for

Sealed tenders are invited for the supply of
“Chemicals”
to
Forensic
Science
Laboratory,
Thiruvananthapuram so as to reach this office on or
before 12 Noon on 3-3-2010.
Approximate Price—Rs. 2,80,000.
Cost of tender forms —Rs. 760 + VAT @ 12.5%.
Date and time of opening of tender—3-3-2010,
3. p. m.
The tenders should be superscribed with Tender
number and details of the items and addressed to the
Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram,
Kerala. Late tenders will not be accepted. The tenders
will be opened at the time mentioned above, in the
presence of the tenderers or their authorized representatives
(with proof of identity) who may be present at that time.
Intending tenderers may on application to the
Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram
obtain requisite tender forms on which the tenders should
be submitted. The rate is to be quoted in Indian Money.
No advance payment can be made for procuring any of
the above items.
Application for tender forms should be accompanied
by cash remittance, price fixed for a form which is not
refundable. The sale of tender form will be closed at
4 p.m. on 2-3-2010. Cheques, Drafts, Postage Stamps etc.
will not be accepted towards the cost of forms, nor will
the forms be sent by VPP. However money orders sent in
the name of the Director, Forensic Science Laboratory,
Thiruvananthapuram will be accepted. The amount should
include the Postage/Courier charges for sending tender
documents. The money order along with the request
should reach Forensic Science Laboratory at least 7 days
before the closing of the sale of the tender documents
enabling as to sent the documents well in advance.
Earnest Money Deposit @ 1% of the quoted value
should be furnished in favour of Director, Forensic
Science Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram. The firms which
are exempted from furnishing Earnest Money Deposit
should produce a copy of relevant authorized documents
for verification.
Specifications and list of the items of tender shall be
obtainable from Forensic Science Laboratory with the
tender forms. The firms should also furnish the detailed
specifications, make, brochures, technical support network
in Kerala, etc. of the items along with tenders. The
tenders without any detailed specifications of quoted
items, brochures, make etc. will be rejected forthwith. The
tenders without separate envelope and not superscribing
the tender number etc. will be rejected.
The tenders should also mention the details
regarding warranty along with the tender documents.
Preference will be given to the products quoted by the
manufacturer or their authorized dealers having
authorization from the original manufacturer. Similarly
preferences will be given to the tenders having experience
of supplying similar/same items to Government
Department, Organizations or Scientific Institutions.

As the items are urgently required, the selected
bidder will have to supply the item within two weeks. In
case there is any delay in supplying the items due to any
pressing circumstances, the tenderers must cite adequate,
justifiable grounds in writings.
Specifications of the above items and more details
can be obtained from Forensic Science Laboratory,
Thiruvananthapuram. Samples will have to be submitted
free of cost whenever necessary which can be returned
only after the supply is effected. Police Department is not
liable to send any individual communication. The rates
quoted should be valid and firm till 3-6-2010.
The Director, Forensic Science Laboratory is
empowered to reject any tender without assigning any
reason.

Government Polytechnic College, Kannur.

and addressed to the Principal, Government Polytechnic
College, Kannur-7.
Last date for receipt of tender is
25-2-2010 at 3.00 p.m. and tenders will be opened at
3 p.m. on 27-2-2010 in the presence of such of the
tenderers or their authorized representatives who may be
present at that time.
Late tenders will not be accepted.
Intending tenderers may on application to the
Principal, Government Polytechnic College, Kannur obtain
the requisite tender forms on which tenders should be
submitted.
Application for the tender forms should be
accompanied by a cash remittance of Rs. 400 plus VAT
12.5% which is the price fixed for a form/set of forms
which is not refundable under any circumstances.
The
tender forms are not transferable. Sale of tender forms will
be closed at 3 p.m. on 24-2-2010. Cheques, Postage
Stamps etc. will not be accepted towards the cost of the
tender forms, nor will the forms be sent as per V.P.P.
Duplicate tender forms, if required will be issued at
Rs. 200 plus VAT 12.5% per copy.
