experienced Registered ‘A’ Class Contractors/Firms of

Kerala Public Works/Irrigation Department who have

successfully completed at least one similar work costing

more than 40% (Forty percentage) of the estimate PAC of

the work during the last five years. The application for

tender schedule should supported by certificate of prior

experience in the work as mentioned above obtained from

the agreement authority and tender schedule will be issued

only to those who satisfy this condition. Necessary

certificate in this effect shall be produced from the

officers concerned not below the Rank of Executive

Engineer. Tenders should be submitted so as to reach the

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

1. The works shall be completed in all respect in two

months after handing over of the site.

2. Routing of all cables, location of Junction boxes

etc. are to be done without affecting the road traffic.

3. Cables, Conduits, Connectors are to be supplied

only of approved make and models and the samples to be

provided and got approved before the commencement of

work by the Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD Electronic

Sub Division, Thrissur.

4. Top quality workmanship and neatness shall be

maintained in cabling works and its termination in junction

boxes.

5. Quantity of items in the Schedule may vary

subject to the site requirement and payment will be made

to the actual quantity of the materials used for the work.

6. On site replacement warranty for the installation

shall be five years after the successful completion and

commissioning of the installations, Including battery LED

Lights etc.

7. 80% of payment will be made after the completion

of work, then 10% of payment after one year, then the

next 10% after two years.

8. The contractor must have experience in doing

similar works in last two years and should produce the

proof for the same.

9. Firms or company quoting the rate shall have

service centre at Ernakulam.

10. EMD shall be released only after two years of

completion of the work on submission of bank guarantee

for equivalent amount.

11. Repairs of the traffic signal system shall be done

within two hours of registering the complaint over

telephone by the concerned authority (Assistant

Engineer, Electronic, PWD, Ernakulam).

12. The contractor has to produce a bank guarantee

equal to 10% of the contract PAC of the work at the time

of execution of the agreement.
