S. R. O. NO. 884/2010.—In exercise of the powers conferred under section

6 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946 (Central Act 25 of 1946),

the Government of Kerala hereby accord consent to the members of the Delhi

Special Police Establishment to exercise powers and jurisdiction in the whole of

the State of Kerala for the investigation of offences involved in Crime No. 284/08

of Kodakara Police Station, registered in connection with the unnatural death of

Babu S/o Smt. Chakki, Perumparambil Veedu, Mattathoorkunnu, Thrissur.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its

general purport.)

As per the recommendation of the Hon. Kerala State Human Rights

Commission in HRMP No. 1289/2009 dated 14-12-2009, Government have

decided to entrust the investigation of the case in Crime No. 284/08 of

Kodakara Police Station registered in connection with the death of Babu, to the

members of the Delhi Special Police Establishment. In order to exercise the

powers and jurisdiction by the Delhi Special Police Establishment under the said

Act, the consent of the State Government under section 6 of Delhi Special

Police Establishment Act, 1946 is necessary.

This notification is intended to achieve the above purpose.
