Seniority List of APSIs as on 1-3-1992 was published
vide Order No. A1/6051/APB(III) dated 29-3-2010 revising
the seniority based on the recommendation of the High
Power Committee, in compliance to Court Orders. Based
on the Seniority List, DPC met on 28-9-2010 re-assigned
positions of APSIs in the Select Lists based on their
merit and Select Lists were drawn out. During the year
1991, there was an existing Select List. A Supplementary
Select List was made for the year 1991. For the year 1992
to 1998 Select Lists were drawn out for each year, based
on the vacancy. In doing so, the Annual Confidential
Reports and punishments of the preceding 3 years were
taken into account. However such assessment was not
made in case of the officers who were retired before the
occurrence of vacancy.
The following will be the Select List of APSIs fit for
promotion as APIs for the years from 1991 Supplementary
to 1998 as approved by the Government vide Government
Letter No. 82815/A1/10/Home, dated 2-11-2010.

5-5-1995 ceased to exist on 5-1-1996. Hence the above 8
vacancies arising after 5-1-1996 is to be adjusted to
overcome the situation of reversion. So no Select List is
prepared for the year 1996.
