Directorate of Ports, Government of Kerala proposes

to utilize optimally the non-major ports through promotion

and facilitation of coastal shipping. Coastal shipping

through hinterland connectivity through barges is

expected to reduce congestion on highways. Proposals

are invited from competent firms to develop the detailed

project report with action plan for development of coastal

shipping in Kerala. Selection of the firms will be based on

power point presentation during the first week of

December 2010 before a committee. The last date of

receipt of proposal with price quote in separate envelope

is 30-11-2010 at 11 a.m. The time to study and submit the

project report will be three months.
