It is notified for information of all concerned that

Dr. Veeramanikandan (Member, Kerala State Higher

Education Council, Science and Technology, Museum

Campus, Vikas Bhavan P.O., Thiruvananthapuram-695 033)

has been nominated to the Syndicate of the Kannur University

by the Executive Council of the Kerala State Higher

Education Council vide D.O.No. 101/KSHEC/VC/2011-12

dated 10-11-2011.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the Notification but is

intended to indicate its general purpose)

The Vice Chairman of the Kerala State Higher

Education Council has, vide D.O.No.101/KSHEC/VC/

2011-12 dated 10-11-2011 and Order No. 24/KSHEC/

Admn.Gnl./2011-12 dated 16-11-2011, informed the

University that Clause 17c of the Kerala State Higher

Education Council Act empowers the Executive Council of

the Higher Education Council to nominate one of its

members to the Syndicate of each University and the

Executive Council at its meeting held on 2nd and 3rd

November

2011

has

decided

to

nominate

Dr. Veeramanikandan to the Syndicate of the Kannur

University. This is under the Section 23 ‘Other Members’

towards item (f) against Prof. Thomas Joseph and as per

the University Laws Amendment Act, 2007 (Act 24 of

2007), Section 5.
