In excercise of the powers conferred by Section 13 of

the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of

1974), the High Court of Kerala hereby :

(i)

Confers upon Sri B. Sugathan, Saras, Peroor,

T.K.M.C. P. O., Kollam all the powers conferred

upon a Magistrate of the Second Class under

the said code in regard to cases generally

arising in the Corporation area of Kollam

District and empowers him to try such cases

sitting singly in the said area ;

(ii)

Appoints the said Sri B. Sugathan as Honorary

Special Judicial Magistrate of the Second Class,

Kollam for a period of one year with effect

from 1-1-2012 as such and ;

(iii) Further confers upon him under Section 261 of

the said code, the powers to try summarily the

offences set out earlier.

dated 28-3-2008 of the Chief Judicial Magistrate,

Alappuzha and as per the directions contained in the

Official Memorandum No. D8-60107/08 dated 13-12-2011 of

the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala, the Chief Judicial

Magistrate, Alappuzha in exercise of the powers conferred

under section 14(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure

1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) hereby re-define the

jurisdiction showm in Col. No. (2) of the Schedule

hereunder to be the local area/jurisdiction with in which

the Magistrates mentioned in Col. No. (1) of the schedule

(This is not part of Notification but is intended to

indicate its general purport.)

official

Memorandum

No. D8-60107/08 dated 13-12-2011 of the Hon’ble High

Court of Kerala, necessary notification is to be issued

under section 14(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure,

regarding shifting of jurisdiction over Mannar Police

Station from Judicial First Class Magistrate’s Court,

Chengannur to Judicial First Class Magistrate’s Court-II,

Mavelikara. Accordingly the territorial jurisdiction of

Judicial First Class Magistrate’s Court, Chengannur and

Judicial First Class Magistrate’s Court-II, Mavelikara

stands defined as Notification No. H. 4299/11 dated

23-12-2011 of the Chief Judicial Magistrate.
