TRAVANCORE DEVASWOM BOARD

FINAL NOTIFICATION

ROC. No. 7921/2009/Est-II. 18th January 2012.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section

(5) of section 29 and clause (e) of sub-section (2) of

section 35 of the Travancore Cochin Hindu Religious

Institutions Act, 1950 (XV of 1950) and in supersession of

all existing orders regarding the promotion of Low Paid

Employees, Travancore Devaswom Board amended rule 4

of the existing rule as shown below:

1.

The name of the rule is amended as Travancore

Devaswom Board Low Paid Employees

Appointment as L.D. Clerk/Sub Group Officer

GradeII, L.D.Typist Rules 1990 as amended

in 2010.

2.

In Rule No. 4 the term “Common Seniority List”

is amended as “Separate Seniority Lists” i.e

L.D.Clerk/SGO Grade II on one hand and the

L.D.Typists on the other.

Proposing the aforesaid amendments and calling

upon objections from the interested or affected parties,

if any, there was preliminary notification dated

30-12-2010 published in the Kerala Gazette dated

5-7-2011. Objections submitted were considered and

rejected by the Board. Hence these amendments will take

effect from the date of publication of this notification.

Explanatory Note

In the existing rules only a common Seniority List is

available for Low Paid Employees for promotion to the

Post of L. D. Clerk/SGO Grade II, L.D. Typist. The Hon’ble

High Court in the Judgement dated 5-10-2009 in W.P.(C)

No.1102/09 has directed the Board to take steps to see

that vacancies in the post of L.D. Clerk/SGO Grade II on

one hand and the L. D. Typist on the other arising each

year are ascertained separately. Hence this notification is

to comply with the above direction.
