NOTIFICATION

No. B4-44225/2008.

5th January 2013.

In exercise of the powers conferred by

Section 13 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973

(Central Act of 1974) the High Court of Kerala hereby;

(i)

confers upon Sri K. C. Gopinath, 20/1312,

Krishneeyam, Thiruvannur Road, Kallai P. O.,

Kozhikode, all the powers conferred on a

Magistrate of Second Class under the said Code

in regard to the cases generally arising in the

local area of his jurisdiction in Kozhikode District

and empowers to try such cases sitting singly

in the said area;

(ii)

appoints the said Sri K. C. Gopinath as

Additional Honorary Special Judicial Magistrate

of Second Class, Kozhikode for a period of one

year with effect from the date of assumption of

charge and;

(iii) Futher confers upon him, under Section 261 of

the said Code, the power to try summarily the

offences set out earlier.

Ref.—High Court Notification No. D1(A)-2010/1998,

dated 11-4-2003.

In partial modification of the notification cited, the

High Court of Kerala hereby notifies that the appeals filed

in the High Court against orders of Family Courts in

petitions filed under Order XXI of Code of Civil

Procedure, 1908 shall be categorized under the

nomenclature Matrimonial Appeal (Execution) [Mat. App.

(Execution)]. The new nomenclature shall be applicable

with effect from 4-1-2013.
