of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2

of 1974) read with section 32 (1) ibid, the High Court of

Kerala hereby confers upon the Munsiff, Kayamkulam,

the powers of a Judicial Magistrate of the First Class and

further confers upon him under section 260 (1) ibid, the

power to conduct summary trials of the offences

mentioned in the said section.
