Explanatory Note
(This is not part of the notification, but is intended
to indicate its general purport.)
An instance had come to the notice of the High
Court wherein several charge sheets presented by the
Police before a Court of Judicial Magistrate
were not taken on file and registered in time. It was felt
that such instances can be avoided if the concerned
Presiding Officers inspected their office periodically. The
above rules have been framed with the objective
of creating a mechanism whereby the Judicial Officers are
required to compulsorily inspect their respective Offices
periodically.
