In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 27

of the Wakf Act 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995), the Kerala

State Wakf Board hereby delegates to the Officer in

Charge, Divisional Offices of Kerala State Wakf Board at

Kannur,

Kozhikkode,

Malappuram,

Kottayam,

Thiruvananthapuram and Senior Superintendent, Kerala

State Wakf Board Head Office, Ernakulam, the powers and

duties under Section 41 of the Wakf Act, to direct the

mutawallies to apply for registration of wakfs or to supply

informations regarding the wakfs and to cause suo moto

registration except the powers to amend the

Register of wakfs.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form a part of the notification, but is

intended to indicate its general purport.)

The Kerala State Wakf Board is of the opinion that it

is necessary in the interest of expediency and better

management of the wakf institutions under the Divisional

Offices and Head Office, Ernakulam to delegate the above

powers. Therefore, the Board in its meeting held on

1-7-2013 decided to delegate the above powers to the

Divisional Officers and Junior Superintendent of the Head

Office at Ernakulam.

(This notification is intended to achieve the above

object.)
