It is hereby notified that the following amendment to Statute 1, Chapter 30 of Calicut University First Statutes

1977, has been approved by the Senate at its meeting held on 10-2-2012 and has been assented to by

the Chancellor on 16-7-2013.

Amendment to Statute 1, Chapter 30 of Calicut University First Statutes 1977

Statute 1, in Chapter 30, of Calicut University First Statutes 1977 be amended as:—

1. Procedure for awarding degrees: Degrees other than Honorary degrees shall be awarded to all candidates

eligible to receive them by a resolution of the Senate in the meeting subsequent to the declaration of results of

candidates who have been declared to have passed the concerned examinations. The Controller of Examinations

will maintain the record of degrees awarded which will be signed by the Vice-Chancellor except the degree certificates

up to UG level for which the digital signature of the Vice-Chancellor shall be affixed. The Diplomas of the candidates

shall be sent by post, on application, in the prescribed form, with the prescribed fee, remitted in the prescribed manner.
