TECHNOLOGY
NOTIFICATION
No. GA & EL/7218/99 Vol. II. 6th September 2013.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it under Sub
Section (2) of Section 39 of the Cochin University of
Science and Technology Act, 1986 (31 of 1986), the
Syndicate at its 601st meeting held on 25-7-2013, has
made the amendments to Cochin University First Statutes,
1980 along with the changes as suggested by the
Government. His Excellency the Chancellor has assented
the amendments, vide Letter No. GS5-995/2013 dated
7-8-2013.
The amendments are effective from the date of its
publication in the Gazette as required under Sub Section
5 of Section 39 of the said Act.
Amendments to Cochin University First Statutes, 1980
CHAPTER-V
93 Faculties
The following shall be the faculties in the University
namely:
(i)
The Faculty of Humanities
(ii)
The Faculty of Law
(iii)
The Faculty of Marine Sciences
(iv)
The Faculty of Science
(v)
The Faculty of Social Science
(vi)
The Faculty of Technology
(vii) The Faculty of Engineering
(viii) The Faculty of Environmental Studies
(ix)
The Faculty of Medical Science and Technology
(x)
The Faculty of Architecture
(xi)
Such other Faculties as may be instituted from
time to time.
2.
(a)
That a new “Chapter XII C—Faculty of
Architecture” be incorporated after Chapter XII B.
(b) That the following new statutes be incorporated
under Chapter XIIC—Faculty of Architecture as
154 (g), 154 (h) and 154 (i).
