The Departmental Promotion Committee Lower

met on 22-7-2013 selected Shri Binoj, S. and

Smt. Renjitha R. Nair to the post of Computer Programmer

and promoted accordingly. Later, on further enquiry based

on an application under RTI Act, 2005, it is revealed that

Smt. Renjitha R. Nair had acquired her M.Sc. Computer

Science through Distance Education from the School of

Distance Education, University of Kerala. Whereas the

Special Rules insisted acquisition of qualification through

regular course of study. The explanation furnished by her

was examined by the committee in detail in accordance

with the Special Rules for the post issued vide

G. O. (P) No. 366/10/H.Edn. dated 8-11-2010 and order

dated 9-7-2013 in O. A. No. 924/12 of the Hon’ble Kerala

Administrative Tribunal and it is decided to exclude her

from the select list published vide Notification

No. EG2/103672/11 dated 8-3-2013 of the Directorate of

Technical Education and prepared revised Select List as

follows:
