In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 229

of the Constitution of India, the Honourable the Acting

Chief Justice hereby makes the following amendments to

the Kerala High Court Service Rules, 2007, namely:

Amendment (C. S. No. 33)

In the Rules,

1.

The existing entry ‘Private Secretary to Judge

(Higher Grade)’ occurring in Rule 4 against category 1 in

Sub Division 6 of Division I shall be substituted by

‘Private Secretary (Higher Grade) to Judge’.

2.

The existing entry ‘Selection Grade Personal

Assistant to Judge’ occurring in Rule 4 against category 3

in Sub Division 6 of Division I shall be substituted by

‘Personal Assistant (Selection Grade) to Judge’.

Grade I’ occurring in Rule 20(2)(b) shall be substituted by

7.

The existing entry ‘Personal Assistant to Judge

Grade II’ occurring in Rule 20(2)(b) shall be substituted by

‘Personal Assistant (Grade II) to Judge’.

8.

The existing entry ‘Personal Assistant to Judge

Grade I’ occurring in the first sentence in the Proviso to

Rule 20(2)(b) shall be substituted by ‘Persona1 Assistant

(Grade I) to Judge’.

to Rule 20(2)(b) shall be substituted by ‘Personal

Assistant (Grade I) to Judge’.

10.

The existing entry ‘Private Secretary to Judge

(Higher’Grade)’ occurring in Explanation 1 to Rule 20 (2)(b)

shall be substituted by ‘Private Secretary (Higher Grade)

to Judge’.

11.

The existing entry ‘Personal Assistant to Judge

Grade I’ occurring in Explanation 2 to Rule 20 (2)(b) shall

be substituted by ‘Personal Assistant (Grade I) to Judge’

12.

In Explanation 2 to Rule 20 (2)(b), the existing entry

‘Selection Grade Personal Assistant to Judge’ occurring

after the words “promoted as” shall.be substituted by

‘Personal Assistant (Selection Grade) to Judge’.

13.

In Explanation 2 to Rule 20 (2)(b), the existing entry

‘Selection Grade Personal Assistant to Judge’ occurring

after the words “promotion as” shall be substituted by

‘Personal Assistant (Selection Grade) to Judge’.

14.

In Annexure I, the existing entry ‘Private Secretary

to Judge (Higher Grade)’ occurring in column (3) against

category 1 in Sub. Division 6 of Division I shall be

substituted by ‘Private Secretary (Higher Grade) to Judge’.

15.

In Annexure I, the existing entry ‘Selection Grade

Personal Assistant to Judge’ occurring in column (4)

against category 2 in Sub Division 6 of Division I shall

be substituted by ‘Personal Assistant (Selection Grade) to

Judge’.

In Annexure I, the existing entry ‘Selection Grade

In Annexure I, the existing entry ‘Personal Assistant

3 in Sub Division 6 of Division I shall be substituted by

‘Personal Assistant (Grade I) to Judge’.,

18.

In Annexure I, the existing entry ‘Personal Assistant

to Judge Grade I’ occurring in column (3) against category

1 in Sub Division 2 of Division II shall be substituted by

’Personal Assistant (Grade I) to Judge’.

19.

In Annexure I, the existing entry ‘Personal Assistant

to Judge Grade II’ occurring in column (4) against

category 1 in Sub Division 2 of Division II shall be

substituted by ‘Personal Assistant (Grade II) to Judge’.

20.

In Annexure I, the existing entry ‘Personal Assistant

to Judge Grade II’ occurring in column (3) against

category 2 in Sub Division 2 of Division II shall be

substituted by ‘Personal Assistant (Grade II) to Judge’.

The above amendments shall come into force with

immediate effect.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section

11(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973, the High

Court of Kerala hereby appoint the persons mentioned in

Column (2) of the schedule hereto attached to be the

Judicial Magistrates of the First Class to preside over the

Court specified against their names in Column (3) thereof

from the date on which they take charge.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section

(1) of Section 260 of the Code of Criminal Procedure

to try in a summary way all the offences mentioned in the

said sub-section.
