It is hereby notified that 28 trees and the branches

of 2 trees in the campus as per the list enclosed are to be

cut and removed as per the orders of the Sub Divisional

Magistrate of the Kozhikode which will be sold in public,

Tender/Auction at 11.30 a.m. on 19-3-2016. Since 25% of

the price of the trees (Mattimaram) in the list

(from 5 to 11) is to be remitted to Social Forestry

Division, the rate of the trees may be as shown below.

The intending tenderers should submit an

agreement in Kerala State Stamp Paper worth ` 200 and

should enclose a DD for ` 4,727 (in favour of Principal,

Govt. Law College, Kozhikode payable at SBI,

Malaparamba) as EMD and should produce the receipt

towards the remittance of EMD to participate in the

Auction. Those who are participating in the auction alone

should remit the EMD in cash. If the date of Tender cum

Auction is declared public holiday, it will be conducted in

the next working day at the same time and place, and if

the proposed tender cum auction cannot be held on the

proposed date due to any reason, the same will be held

on the alternate day ie. on 2-4-2016.

The envelopes containing the tenders should have

the superscription “ Auction/Tender for the trees 2016"

and should be forward to the Principal, Govt. Law

College, Kozhikode.

Those who are participating in the tender cum

auction should produce the certificate of address and

signature issued by the Village Officer before remitting

the EMD. They will not be permitted to attend the

Tender/Auction without any legal card or certificate.

The intending tender should satisfy themselves

about the quantity and quality of the Trees before the

Tender/Auction, any complaint raised whatsoever will not

be entertained once the sale proceedings is over. The

existing Government Order/Notification, if any, before this

notification will also be applicable to this Tender/Auction.

If the PWD authorities cut and remove any trees in

connection with the widening of the NH, such trees will

be excluded from the Tender/Auction.

The Auction will start at 11.30 a.m. on 19-3-2016 or

on 2-4-2016 (alternate day) the details of the highest

bidder will be marked. After the Auction, the tender will

be opened and the highest amount be marked. The

Tender/Auction will be fixed to who quoted highest

amount in the Auction/Tender.

The successful bidder should remit 25% of the Total

of Auction Amount, 14.5% VAT, and 5% of the total

amount as Forest Development Tax, subject to a minimum

of ` 50,000 within 5 days of acceptance letter. The

balance amount after adjusting the EMD should be

remitted within 15 days. After remitting the full amount

and submitting an agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper

worth ` 200, the orders to cut and remove the trees will

be issued. The bidder should cut and remove the trees

without making any damage to the other trees and

buildings in the premises.

The Principal has the right to postpone or refuse the

Tender/Auction. All other Government regulations related

to Tender/Auction will also be applicable to this tender.
