NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by 2nd proviso to sub section 7 of section 19 of the

Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and

Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Kerala hereby extend the

time limit in publishing the declaration as per sub-section 1 of section 19 to the Notification

issued under sub-section (1) of section 11 as per Proceedings No. DCKKD/4948/2021/B2

dated 3rd June 2022 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No 1875 dated 8th June

2022, namely:-

Extension

Proceedings No DCKKD/4948/2021/B2 dated 3rd June 2022 and published in the

Extra Ordinary Gazette No 1875 dated 8th June 2022 has been issued in accordance with the

provisions of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and

Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to

the acquisition of land in Chemanchery village of Kozhikode district for the construction of

Pookad - Thorayikadavu Bridge across Akalappuzha.

AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Kozhikode has reported that as per Section

19(7) of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the 19(1) Declaration has to be published within 12

months from the date of issuance of 11(1) Notification (preliminary notification) and that the

11(1) Notification issued as per Proceedings No DCKKD/4948/2021/B2 dated 3rd June 2022

and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 1875 dated 8th June 2022 and extended as

per G.O.(P)No.147/2023/RD dated 17th June 2023 and published in the Extra Ordinary

Gazette No. 2052 dated 17th June 2023 expired on 07/12/2023 and therefore requested to

extend the time limit for publishing the 19(1) Declaration.

NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the

Declaration for a further period of 6 months from the date of expiry of the 11(1) notification ie,

07/12/2023 by invoking the provisions contained in 2nd proviso to Section19(7) of the LARR

Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land in Chemanchery village of Kozhikode district

for the construction of Pookad - Thorayikadavu Bridge across Akalappuzha, as the last

chance on the condition that no more extension be allowed under any circumstances.

Proceedings No DCKKD/4948/2021/B2 dated 3rd June 2022 and published in the

Extra Ordinary Gazette No 1875 dated 8th June 2022 has been issued in accordance with

the provisions of subsection (1) of section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and

Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to

the acquisition of land in Chemancheri village of Kozhikode district for the construction of

Pookad - Thorayikadavu Bridge across Akalappuzha. As per Section 19(7) of LARR Act,

2013, the 19(1) Declaration has to be published within 12 months from the date of issuance

of 11(1) Notification (preliminary notification) and that the 11(1) Notification issued as per

Proceedings No DCKKD/4948/2021/B2 dated 3rd June 2022 and published in the Extra

Ordinary Gazette No. 1875 dated 8th June 2022 and extended as per G.O.

(P)No.147/2023/RD dated 17th June 2023 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No.

2052 dated 17th June 2023 expired on 07/12/2023 and hereby extend the time limit for

publishing the 19(1) Declaration.

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
