GOVERNMENT OF KERALA
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by 2nd proviso of subsection 7 of section 19 of the Right to
Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013
(Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Kerala hereby extend the time limit in publishing the
declaration as per sub-section 1 of section 19 to the Notification issued under sub-section (1) of
section 11 as per G.O.(P)No. 208/2021/RD dated 21st December, 2021 and published in the Kerala
Gazette Extraordinary No 3750 dated 21st December, 2021 namely :-

G.O.(P)No. 208/2021/RD dated 21st December, 2021 and published in the Kerala Gazette
Extraordinary No 3750 dated 21st December, 2021 has been issued in accordance with the provisions
of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land
Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 10.902525
Hectares of land in Payyoli, Iringal and Thikkodi Villages of Kozhikode district for the construction of
coastal Highway from Kolavipalam to Kodikkal.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Kozhikode has reported that as per Section 19(7) of
LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the 19(1) Declaration has to be published within 12 months from the
date of issuance of 11(1) Notification (preliminary notification) and that the 11(1) Notification issued as
per G.O.(P)No. 208/2021/RD dated 21st December, 2021 and published in the Kerala Gazette
Extraordinary No 3750 dated 21st December, 2021 and extended as per G.O.(P)No. 301/2022/RD
dated 14th December, 2022 and published in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No 4257 dated 14th
December, 2022 and G.O.(P)No. 159/2023/RD dated 23rd June, 2023 and published in the Kerala
Gazette Extraordinary No. 2114 dated 23rd June, 2023 expired on 20.12.2023 and therefore
requested to extend the time limit for publishing the 19(1) Declaration.
NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the declaration
for a further period of six months from the date of expiry of the 11(1) Notification ie, 20.12.2023 by
invoking the provisions contained in 2nd proviso to Section 19(7) of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to
the acquisition of 10.902525 Hectares of land in Payyoli, Iringal and Thikkodi Villages of Kozhikode
district for the construction of coastal Highway from Kolavipalam to Kodikkal as the last chance on the
condition that no more extension be granted under any circumstances.
