GOVERNMENT OF KERALA
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by 2nd proviso to subsection 7 of section 19 of the Right to
Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013
(Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Kerala hereby extend the time limit in publishing the
declaration as per sub-section 1 of section 19 to the Notification issued under sub-section (1) of
section 11 as per Proceedings No. C1- 6439/2017 dated 24th June 2022 and published in the Extra
Ordinary Gazette No. 2423 dated 21st July 2022, namely:-

Extension
Proceedings No. C1-6439/2017 dated 24th June 2022 and published in the Extra Ordinary
Gazette No. 2423 dated 21st July 2022 has been issued in accordance with the provisions of
subsection (1) of section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard t o the acquisition of land in Vadaserikkara
Village of Pathanamthitta district for the construction of new bridge parallel to the existing
Vadaserikkara bridge across Kallar river.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Pathanamthitta has reported that as per Section 19(7)
of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the 19(1) Declaration has to be published within 12 months from the
date of issuance of 11(1) Notification (preliminary notification) and that the 11(1) Notification issued as
per Proceedings No. C1-6439/2017 dated 24th June 2022 and published in the Extra Ordinary
Gazette No. 2423 dated 21st July 2022 and extended as per G.O.(P)No.148/2023/RD dated 17th
June 2023 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 2053 dated 17th June 2023 will expire on
20/01/2024 and therefore requested to extend the time limit for publishing the 19(1) Declaration.
NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Declaration
for a further period of 6 months from the date of expiry of the 11(1) Notification ie. 20/01/2024 by
invoking the provisions contained in 2nd proviso to Section 19(7) of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to
the acquisition of land in Vadaserikkara Village of Pathanamthitta district for the construction of new
bridge parallel to the existing Vadaserikkara bridge across Kallar river, as the last chance on the
condition that no more extension be granted under any circumstances.

time limit for publishing the 19(1) Declaration.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
