Sub:—Appointment to the post of Vice Chancellor, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences

University—Reg.

Ref:—G. O. (Rt.) No. 424/2024/AHD dated 15-7-2024,

G. O. (P) No. 13/2024/AHD dated 28-9-2024, KVASU Act & Statutes, UGC

Regulation 2018.

The Search-cum-Selection Committee constituted by the Government vide order cited, invites

application from eligible candidates for appointment to the Post of Vice Chancellor in the Kerala

Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.

•

The candidate shall be a distinguished academician with highest level of competence,

integrity, morals and institutional commitment, with a minimum of 10 years of experience

as Professor in the University system or 10 years of experience in a reputed research

and/or academic administrative organization in an equivalent post with proof of having

demonstrated academic leadership.

•

Reputed academicians may also nominate the name of qualified candidates for the post of

Vice Chancellor.

•

The Search-cum-Selection Committee may consider the name of any academician who

may not have even applied for and who fulfils the requisite qualifications for the post of

Vice Chancellor.

•

The appointment shall be for a period of 5 years from the date of joining the post or till

the selected candidate attains the age of 70 years whichever is earlier.

•

The appointment will be made from a panel of names recommended by the Search-cum-

Selection Committee.

Candidates shall submit duly signed detailed bio-data mentioning educational qualifications,

academic, research and administrative accomplishments and experience together with list of

publications, awards, and other relevant information. The claims should be supported with proof of

certificates/credentials and copies of publications. The hard (3 sets) and soft copies of bio-data of

the applicant along with supporting documents/enclosures shall reach the Search-cum-Selection

Committee on or before 7-12-2024, 5 p. m. Hard copies (3 sets) should be sent through Speed Post/

Registerd Post so as to reach the Chairman, Office of the Search-cum-Selection Committee, Kerala

Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Lakkidi P. O., Pookode, Pin-673 576.

Soft copy should be send by email [email protected]. The envelope containing hard

copy may be superscripted ‘Application for the post of Vice Chancellor, Kerala Veterinary & Animal

Sciences University’ and the same wordings may be shown as subject of the email forwarding soft

copy also.
