GOVERNMENT OF KERALA
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita,
2023 (Central Act 46 of 2023) and Section 3 and 4 of Kerala Civil Courts Act, 1957 (1 of 1957), the
Government of Kerala, with the concurrence of the High Court of Kerala, hereby establish in the
Judicial District mentioned in column (1) of the schedule below, an Additional District and Sessions
Home (C) Department .

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
As per notification issued as G.O.(Ms.)No.114/2022/Home dated 10th June, 2022, the
Government had accorded Administrative Sanction for the establishment of an Additional
District and Sessions Court (Special Court) for the trial of Puttingal Devi Temple Fireworks
Mishap Case. It has now been decided to commence the said Court in Kollam judicial district at
the location suggested by the High Court at Kollam with effect from 10th December, 2024.
The notification is intended to achieve the above objects.
