be raised by five years in the case of candidate belonging to any of the Scheduled
caste/Scheduled Tribe and by three years in the case of candidate belonging to
any of the Other Backward Classes;
AND WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Kottayi Service Co operative
Bank Limited No. F.1223 in Palakkad District has resolved to request the
Government to exempt the said society from the provisions of subrule (1) of
Rule 183 of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules,1969 for the purpose of
appointing Sri. Narayanan.V, whose date of birth is 20th April, 1974, as Night
Watchman in the said society taking into consideration of his service in the said
society;
AND WHEREAS, the Registrar of Cooperative Societies has submitted the
proposal to the Government to exempt the said bank from the provisions of sub
rule (1) of Rule 183 of the said Rules, for the limited purpose of appointing Sri.
Narayanan V as Night Watchman in the said society;
AND WHEREAS, the Government have considered that it is necessary to
exempt the Kottayi Service Cooperative Bank Limited No.F.1223 in Palakkad
District from the provisions of subrule (1) of Rule 183 of the Kerala Cooperative
Societies Rules, 1969 so as to enable the said society to appoint Sri. Narayanan.V
as Night Watchman in the said society;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 181 of the
Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules, 1969, the Government of Kerala hereby
exempt the Kottayi Service Cooperative Bank Limited No. F.1223 in Palakkad

District from the provisions of subrule (1) of Rule 183 of the said Rules, so as to
enable the said society to appoint Sri. Narayanan.V as Night Watchman in the
said society taking into consideration of his service in the said society.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the order, but is intended to indicate its
general purport.)
As per sub rule (1) of rule 183 of the Kerala Cooperative Societies
Rule,1969 a candidate for appointment by direct recruitment must have
completed eighteen years of age and must not have completed forty years of age
on the first day of January of the calender year in which the application for
appointment are invited. Provided that the upper age limit shall be raised by five
years in the case of candidate belonging to any of the Scheduled Caste/
Scheduled Tribe and by three years in the case of candidates belonging to any of
the other Backward classes .`
The Board of Directors of the Kottayi Service Cooperative Bank Limited No.
F.1223 in Palakkad District has resolved to request the Government through the
Registrar of Cooperative Society to exempt the said society from the provisions
of subrule (1) of Rule 183 of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules, 1969, for
the purpose of appointing Sri.Narayanan.V as Night Watchman in the said

society. The Government have considered the matter in detail and have decided
to exempt the said society from the provisions of the subrule (1) of rule 183 of
the Kerala Cooperative Societies Rules, 1969, so as to enable the said society to
appoint Sri. Narayanan.V as Night Watchman taking consideration of his service
in the said society.
This order is intended to achieve the above object.
