ORDER

          WHEREAS, under the provisions of sub­rule (1) of Rule 183 of the Kerala Co­

operative Societies Rules, 1969, a candidate for appointment by direct recruitment

must have completed eighteen years and must not have completed forty years of age on

the 1^st day of January of the calendar year in which the applications for appointment

are invited. Provided that the upper age limit shall be raised by five years in the case of

Co-operation (C) Department

candidate belonging to any of the Scheduled caste/Scheduled Tribe and by three years

in the case of candidate belonging to any of the Other Backward Classes;

        AND WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Chavara Service Co­operative Bank

Limited No. Q 186 in Kollam District has resolved to request the Government to exempt

the said Society from the provisions of sub­rule (1) of Rule 183 of the Kerala Co­

operative Societies Rules,1969 for the purpose of appointing Smt.Vasantha J. in the

said bank as Part Time Sweeper considering her service in the said bank;

      AND WHEREAS, the Registrar of Co­operative Societies has forwarded the proposal

to the Government to exempt the said Bank from the provisions of sub­rule (1) of Rule

183 of the said Rules for the limited purpose of appointing Smt.Vasantha.J. as Part

Time Sweeper in the said Bank;

     AND WHEREAS, the Government have examined the matter in detail and are

satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the said Bank from the provisions of sub­rule (1)

of Rule 183 of the Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules, 1969, so as to enable the said

Bank   to   appoint   Smt.Vasantha   J.   as   Part   Time   Sweeper   in   the   said   Bank,   for

considering her service in the said Bank;

       NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 181 of the Kerala

Co­operative  Societies   Rules,   1969,   the   Government  of  Kerala  hereby  exempt  the

Chavara Service Co­operative Bank Limited No. Q 186 in Kollam District from the

provisions of sub­rule (1) of rule 183 of the said Rules, so as to enable the said Bank to

appoint Smt.Vasantha J.as Part Time Sweeper by considering her service in the said

Bank.

      As per sub­rule (1) of rule 183 of the Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules, 1969, a

candidate for appointment by direct recruitment must have completed eighteen years

and must not have completed forty years of age on the 1^st   day of January of the

calendar year in which the applications for appointment are invited. The Board of

Directors of the Chavara Service Co­operative Bank Limited No. Q 186 in Kollam

District has resolved to request the Government to exempt the said Bank from the

provisions of sub­rule (1) of Rule 183 of the Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules, 1969,

for the purpose of appointing Smt.Vasantha J. as Part Time Sweeper in the said Bank.

The Government have considered the matter in detail and have decided to exempt the

said Bank from the provisions of the sub­rule (1) of rule 183 of the Kerala Co­operative

Societies Rules, 1969, so as to enable the said Bank to appoint Smt.Vasantha J. as Part

Time Sweeper, considering her service in the said bank.

       This order is intended to achieve the above object.
