Executive of the Credit Societies/ Banks come within Sub Class A and B of Class

1 of rule 15, Accounts Officer in the Kerala State Co­operative Banks Limited,

Branch Manager or equivalent posts in the District Co­operative Banks, Deputy

Manager in the Kerala State Co­operative Agricultural and Rural Development

Bank  and   Assistant   Secretary/   Manager   and   equivalent   posts   in   Urban   Co­

operative Banks having a deposit of more than ten crores;

       AND WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Ponvila Service Co­operative

Bank Limited No. 985 in Thiruvananthapuram District has resolved to request

the Government of Kerala through the Registrar of Co­operative Societies to

exempt the said bank from the provisions of clause(g) of sub­rule (8) of rule 185

of the Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules,1969 for the purpose of enabling the

said bank to promote Sri. Justin Anil Raj S, Assistant Secretary of the said Bank

to the post of Secretary in the said Bank;

       AND WHEREAS, the Registrar of Co­operative Societies has forwarded the

proposal to the Government for considering the request of the Board of Directors

of the said Bank to exempt the bank from the provisions of clause (g) of sub­rule

(8) of rule 185 of the Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules,1969 for the purpose of

enabling the said Bank to promote Sri. Justin Anil Raj S as Secretary in the said

Bank;

    AND WHEREAS, the Government have examined the matter in detail and are

satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the Ponvila Service Co­operative Bank

Limited No. 985 in Thiruvananthapuram District from the provisions of clause

(g) of sub­rule (8) of Rule 185 of the Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules, 1969,

so as to enable the said Bank to promote Sri.Justin Anil Raj S as Secretary in the

said bank;

      NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 181 of the

Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules, 1969, the Government of Kerala hereby

exempt   the   Ponvila   Service   Co­operative   Bank   Limited   No.   985   in

Thiruvananthapuram District from the provisions of clause (g) of sub­rule (8) of

rule 185 of the said rules so as to enable the said Bank to promote Sri. Justin Anil

Raj S, Assistant Secretary to the post of Secretary in the said Bank.

     As per the provisions to clause (g) of sub­rule (8) of rule 185 of the Kerala

Co­operative Societies Rules, 1969, under no circumstances exemption shall be

granted from possessing the required academic qualification and experience for

the purpose of effecting promotion to the posts of Chief Executive of the Credit

Societies/ Banks come within Sub Class A and B of Class 1 of rule 15, Accounts

Officer  in   the   Kerala   State   Co­operative   Banks  Limited,   Branch   Manager  or

equivalent   posts  in   the   District   Co­operative   Banks,  Deputy  Manager in  the

Kerala   State   Co­operative   Agricultural   and   Rural   Development   Bank   and

Assistant Secretary/Manager and equivalent posts in Urban Co­operative Banks

having a deposit of more than ten crores. The Board of Directors of the Ponvila

Service Co­operative Bank Limited No. 985 in Thiruvananthapuram District has

resolved  to  request   the   Government   of  kerala   through   the   Registrar  of  Co­

operative Societies to exempt the said bank from the provisions of clause (g) of

sub­rule (8) of rule 185 of the Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules, 1969 for the

purpose of enabling the said bank to promote Sri.Justin Anil Raj S, Assistant

Secretary to  the  post   of  Secretary  in  the  said  Bank.   The  Government have

considered the matter in detail and are satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the

said bank from the provisions of clause (g) of sub­rule (8) of rule 185 of the said

rules, so as to enable the said bank to promote Sri. Justin Anil Raj S, as Secretary

in the said Bank.

   This order is intended to achieve the above object.
