NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 of the Right to Fair Compensation and
Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013),
the Government of Kerala hereby extend the time limit in publishing the Award as per Section 25 to
the Declaration issued under subsection (1) of Section 19 as per Proceedings No. K6-174181/2019
dated 22nd May 2023 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 1789 dated 29th May 2023
namely:-

Extension
As per Proceedings No. K6-174181/2019 dated 22nd May 2023 and published in the Extra
Ordinary Gazette No. 1789 dated 29th May 2023, the Declaration in accordance with the provisions of
subsection (1) of Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 1.3284 Hectares of land in
Balaramapuram & Athiyanoor Villages of Thiruvananthapuram district as part of widening of road from
Balaramapuram to Vazhimukku (Right side) has been issued.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram has reported that as per Section
25 of LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the Collector shall make an Award within a period of 12 months
from the date of issuance of 19(1) Declaration i.e, the 19(1) Declaration issued as per Proceedings
No. K6-174181/2019 dated 22nd May 2023 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 1789
dated 29th May 2023 and extended as per G.O.(P)No.100/2024/RD dated 14th March 2024 and
published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No.1001 dated 15th March 2024 expired on 28/11/2024, and
therefore requested to extend the time limit in publishing the Award.
NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Award for a
further period of 6 months from the date of expiry of the 19(1) Declaration ie. 28/11/2024 by invoking
the provisions contained in 1st proviso to Section 25 of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to the
acquisition of 1.3284 Hectares of land in Balaramapuram & Athiyanoor Villages of
Thiruvananthapuram district as part of widening of road from Balaramapuram to Vazhimukku (Right
side).

Acquisition,Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of 1.3284
