GOVERNMENT OF KERALA
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by 2nd proviso to subsection 7 of section 19 of the Right to
Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013
(Central Act 30 of 2013), the Government of Kerala hereby extend the time limit in publishing the
declaration as per sub-section 1 of section 19 to the Notification issued under sub-section (1) of
section 11 as per G.O.(P)No. 209/2022/RD dated 29th July, 2022 and published in the Extra Ordinary
Gazette No. 2506 dated 30th July, 2022 , namely:-

G.O.(P)No. 209/2022/RD dated 29th July, 2022 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No.
2506 dated 30th July, 2022 has been issued in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of
section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and
Resettlement Act, 2013 with regard to the acquisition of land in Pudussery West & Pudussery Central
Villages of Palakkad district for setting up of National Investment & Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) as part
of development of Kochi - Bengaluru Industrial Corridor.
AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Palakkad has reported that as per Section 19(7) of
LARR Act, 2013, the 19 (1) Declaration has to be published within 12 months from the date of
issuance of 11(1) Notification (preliminary notification) and that the 11(1) Notification issued as per
G.O.(P)No. 209/2022/RD dated 29th July, 2022 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 2506
dated 30th July, 2022 and extended as per G.O(P) No. 175/2023/RD dated 19th July 2023 and
published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 2385 dated 20th July 2023 & G.O.(P)No.3/2024/RD dated
03rd January 2024 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 27 dated 04th January 2024
expired on 29/07/2024 and therefore requested to extend the time limit for publishing the 19(1)
Declaration.
NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Declaration
for a further period of 6 months from the date of expiry of the 11(1) notification ie. 29/07/2024 by
invoking the provisions contained in 2nd proviso to Section 19(7) of the LARR Act, 2013 with regard to
the acquisition of land in Pudussery West & Pudussery Central Villages of Palakkad district for setting
up of National Investment & Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) as part of development of Kochi - Bengaluru
Industrial Corridor, as the last chance on the condition that no more extension be granted under any
circumstances.

G.O.(P)No. 209/2022/RD dated 29th July, 2022 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No.
2506 dated 30th July, 2022 has been issued in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of
section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and

Gazette No. 2385 dated 20th July 2023 & G.O.(P)No.3/2024/RD dated 03rd January 2024 and
published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 27 dated 04th January 2024 expired on 29/07/2024 and
hereby extend the time limit for publishing the 19(1) Declaration.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
