AND WHEREAS, the said term of one year of the administrator appointed under

sub­section (1) of section 33 of the said Act to manage the affairs of the Kuttanad

Marketing Co­operative Society Limited No. A194 in Alappuzha District expired on 2^nd

August, 2007;

  AND WHEREAS, under sub­section (1A) of section 33 of the said Act, the

Government may, by notification in the Gazette, for reasons to be recorded, permit the

Registrar of Co­operative Societies to extend the term of the said administrator or

administrative committee for a further period not exceeding one year in the aggregate

or till a newly elected committee enters upon office, whichever is earlier;

AND WHEREAS, the term of the administrator of the said society was extended

further for a period of one year from 3^rd  August, 2007 to 2^nd August, 2008 in pursuance

of notification issued under G.O(P)No.45/2008/Co­op.dated 12^th  February, 2008 and

published as S.R.O. No. 233/2008 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.415 dated

28^th   February, 2008, and extended for a further period of one year from 3^rd August,

2008   to   2nd   August,   2009   in   pursuance   of   notification   issued   under

G.O(P)No.7/2009/Co­op.   dated   3^rd    January,   2009   and   published   as   S.R.O.   No.

36/2009 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.135 dated 16^th  January, 2009 and

extended further for a period of one year from 3^rd August, 2009 to 2^nd  August, 2010 in

pursuance  of  the  notification   issued  under   G.O.(P)No.157/2010/Co­op.   dated  17^th

September,   2010   and   published   as   S.R.O.   No.   926/2010   in   the   Kerala   Gazette

Extraordinary No.2218 dated 27^th  September, 2010, and extended further for a period

of   two   years   from   3^rd    August,   2010   to   2^nd    August,   2012   in   pursuance   of   the

notification issued under G.O.(P)No.135/2011/Co­op. dated 21^st September, 2011 and

published as S.R.O. No.615/2011 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No. 1832 dated

28^th  September, 2011 and the period so extended also expired on 2^nd  August, 2012.

AND WHEREAS, the Registrar of Co­operative Societies has reported that the

election to the Board of Directors of the said society could not be conducted within the

extended period and the society is under process of liquidation and the liquidator has

been appointed and assumed charge on 10^th   August, 2023, and has requested to

extend the term of the administrator of the said society for a further period of eleven

years   and   eight   days   from   3^rd    August,   2012   to   10^th    August,   2023,   to   avoid

administrative vacuum in the said society;

AND WHEREAS, the Government have examined the matter in detail and are

satisfied that it is necessary, in public interest, to direct that the provisions of the sub­

section (1A) of section 33 of the said Act shall apply to the said society with certain

modification and to permit the Registrar of Co­operative Societies to extend the term of

the administrator appointed to manage the affairs of the said society for a further

period of eleven years and eight days from 3^rd  August, 2012 to 10^th  August, 2023 , to

avoid administrative vacuum;

          NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 101 of the

Kerala Co­operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), the Government of Kerala hereby

direct that the provisions of Sub­section (1A) of Section 33 of the said Act, shall apply

to  the  Kuttanad Marketing Co­operative Society  Limited  No.  A 194  in Alappuzha

District with the modification of substituting the words “ sixteen years and eight days ”

for words “one year” and in exercise of the powers under sub­section (1A) of section 33

of the said act, as so modified, permit the Registrar of Co­operative Societies to extend

the term of the Administrator for a further period of eleven years and eight days from

3^rd   August, 2012 to 10^th  August, 2023 to avoid administrative vacuum in the said

society.

     The term of the Administrator appointed under sub­section (1) of section 33 of the

Kerala Co­operative Societies Act, 1969 (21 of 1969), to manage the affairs of the

period of two years from 3^rd August, 2010 to 2^nd   August, 2012 in pursuance of the

notification issued under G.O.(P)No.135/2011/Co­op. dated 21^st  September, 2011 and

published as S.R.O No. 615/2011 in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.1832 dated

28^th  September, 2011 and the period so extended also expired on 2^nd  August, 2012.

The Registrar of Co­operative Societies has reported that the election to the Board of
