Ref:—Cr. No. 619/2014 u/s 8(A), (C), 20(B) II A of NDPS Act case.

ORDER

A case vide Cr. No. 619/24 has been registered at Manjeshwar Police Station under

sections 8(A), 8(C) r/w 22(C), and 20(B) II A of the NDPS Act. On 20-9-2024, a significant

drug seizure was made at the residence of the accused, Askar Ali, located at Pathwadi in

Uppala Village under the jurisdiction of Manjeshwar Police Station. A total of 3.407 Kg. of

MDMA crystals, 642.65 grams of ganja and other lethal drugs were recovered, and Askar Ali

was arrested in connection with the seizure.

This is one of the largest drug busts in the State and may involve multiple links in the

widespread drug racket. A thorough investigation is crucial to uncovering the full scope of this

network, including the financial capabilities required to possess such significant quantities of

psychotropic drugs, as well as the supply chain responsible for distributing drugs within Kasaragod.

Considering the gravity of the offence, a comprehensive investigation in the case is essential.

Hence, a Special Investigation Team under the overall supervision of Additional Superintendent of

Police, Kasaragod, and SDPO Kasaragod as Investigating Officer with the following team members

is hereby constituted to delve into various aspects of the investigation.
