NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS, the Government of Kerala have appointed Shri Mohandas T.G, as Special Public

Prosecutor in the Additional District and Sessions Court-I, Kalpetta which is specified as a Children's

Court to try cases related to Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 as per notification

issued under G.O.(Rt.) No.1605/2022/Home dated 8^th June, 2022 and published as S.R.O.No.640/2022

in the Kerala Gazette Extraordinary No.2137 dated 28^th June, 2022.

AND WHEREAS, the term of his appointment as Special Public Prosecutor in the said Court

has expired on 30^th June, 2025;

AND WHEREAS, Government have decided to extend his term of appointment as Special

Public Prosecutor in the said Court with effect from 1^st July, 2025;

NOW, THEREFORE, In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 32 of

the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (Central Act 32 of 2012) the Government

of Kerala hereby extend the term of Shri Mohandas T.G., Advocate, Roll No.K/401/2006, Thekkedath

(H), Chulliyode P.O., Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad District as Special Public Prosecutor in the

Additional District and Sessions Court-I, Kalpetta which is Specified as a Children's Court to try

cases related to Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 for a period of three years

with effect from 1^st July, 2025.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)

Sub - section (1) of section 32 of the Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act, 2012

(Central Act 32 of 2012) provides that the State Government shall, by notification in the Official

Gazette, appoint a Special Public Prosecutor for every Special Court for conducting cases under the

provisions of the said Act. The Government have appointed Shri Mohandas T.G., Advocate, Roll No.

K/401/2006, Thekkodath (H.), Chulliyode P.O., Sulthan Bathery Wayanad District as Special Public

Prosecutor  in the Additional District and Sessions Court-1 Kalpetta exclusively for the trail of cases

under the said Act. The term of  appointment of Shri Mohandas T.G. as Special Public Prosecutor in

the said Court has expired on 30^th June, 2025. Now the Government have decided to extend his term

as Special Public Prosecutor  for a period of three years with effect from 1^st July, 2025.

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
