NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 of the Kerala Motor Vehicles Taxation

Act, 1976 (19 of 1976); the Government of Kerala being satisfied that it is necessary in the public

interest so to do, hereby exempt the tax payable under the said Act, in respect of the Maruti XL6 LMV

bearing Chassis No. MAJCNC72SSC409465 and Engine No.K15CN1033666 to be registered in the

Transport (B) Department

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)

The Director, Kerala State Institute of Children's Literature, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram has

requested the Government to exempt the Maruti XL6 LMV bearing Chassis No. MAJCNC72SSC

409465 and Engine No.K15CN1033666 to be registered in the name of the Director, Kerala State

Institute of Children's Literature, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram from payment of tax payable under the

Kerala Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1976 (19 of 1976). The Government have examined the request in

detail and by exercising the power under section 22 of the Kerala Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1976,

decided to exempt the said vehicle from payment of tax payable under the said Act.

This notification is intended to achieve the above object.
