WHEREAS, the Government have appointed Adv. Liji K.V, Roll No. K/425/2002, Thekkoott
Valappil House,P.O., Peringandoor, Ampalappuram, M.G. Kavu,Thrissur as Special Public Prosecutor
exclusively for conducting prosecution of cases related to Protection of Children from Sexual Offences
Act, 2012 (Central Act 32 of 2012) in the Additional District and Sessions Court-I, Thrissur, as per
G.O(Rt) No.1398/2018 dated 16th May, 2018;

AND WHEREAS, the term of her appointment as Special Public Prosecutor in the said court
has expired and the Government have extended her tenure of service for a period of three years as per
G.O(Rt) No.524/2022 dated 25th February, 2022;
AND WHEREAS, the term of extended period as Special Public Prosecutor in the said court
has expired on 14.12.2024.
NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (1) of section 32 of
the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (Central Act 32 of 2012) the Government of
Kerala hereby appoint Shri. Biju P.S, Advocate, Roll No. K/160/1999, Gokul,Pandarikkal House,
Pavaratty, Thrissur-680507 as the Special Public Prosecutor Additional District and Sessions Court-I,
Thrissur which is specified as a Children's Court, under the Protection of Children from Sexual
Offences Act, 2012 (Central Act 32 of 2012) for the period of 3 years from the date on which he
assumes charge.

Explanatory Note
(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general purport.)
Sub-section (1) of section 32 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012
(Central Act 32 of 2012) provides that the State Government shall, by notification in the Official
Gazette, appoint a Special Public Prosecutor for every Special Court for conducting cases only under
the provisions of the said Act.
Government have decided to appoint Shri. Biju P.S., Advocate, Roll No. K/160/1999, Gokul,
Pandarikkal House, Pavaratty, Thrissur-680507 as Special Public Prosecutor in the said Fast Track
Special Court set up for the conduct of rape cases and cases under the Protection of Children from
Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (Central Act 32 of 2012) due to the reason of expiry of term of Adv.Liji
K.V.
The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
