NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 of the Right to Fair Compensation and

Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 of 2013),

the Government of Kerala hereby extend the time limit in publishing the Award as per Section 25 to

the Declaration issued under subsection (1) of Section 19 as per G.O.(P) No.40/2020/RD dated 15^th

June 2020 and published in the Kerala Extra Ordinary Gazette No.1473 dated 17^th June 2020

Extension

As per G.O.(P) No.40/2020/RD dated 15^th June 2020 and published in the Kerala Extra

Ordinary Gazette No.1473 dated 17^th June 2020, the Declaration in accordance with the provisions of

subsection (1) of Section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,

Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 for the acquisition of 2.0167 hectares of land for the

Preparatory works (widening) of Palarivattom - Kakkanad PWD Road as part of extension of Kochi

Metro Rail Project in between JLN Stadium and Kakkanad Infopark has been issued.

AND WHEREAS, the District Collector, Ernakulam has reported that as per Section 25 of

LARR Act, 2013 mentions that the Collector shall make an Award within a period of 12 months from

the date of issuance of 19(1) Declaration ie, the 19(1) Declaration issued as per G.O.(P) No.

40/2020/RD dated 15^th June 2020 and published in the Kerala Extra Ordinary Gazette No.1473 dated

17^th June 2020 and extended as per G.O.(P) No.62/2021/RD dated 01^st June 2021 and published in

the Kerala Extra Ordinary Gazette No.1695 dated 03^rd June 2021, G.O.(P) No.205/2022/RD dated 18^th

July, 2022 and published in the Kerala Extra Ordinary Gazette No.2401 dated 19^th July, 2022,

G.O.(P)No.236/2022/RD dated 24^th September, 2022 and published in the Kerala Extra Ordinary

Gazette No.3271 dated 24^th September, 2022, G.O.(P)No.219/2023/RD dated 12^th September, 2023

and published in the Kerala Extra Ordinary Gazette No.2947 dated 12^th September 2023 and G.O.(P)

No.51/2025/RD dated 12^th February 2025 and published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette No.666 dated

22^nd February 2025 expired on 15/06/2025, and therefore requested to extend the time limit in

publishing the Award.

NOW THEREFORE, sanction is accorded to extend the time limit in publishing the Award for a

further period of six months from 16/06/2025 by invoking the provisions contained in 1^st proviso to

Section 25 of the LARR Act, 2013 for the acquisition of 2.0167 hectares of land for the Preparatory

works (widening) of Palarivattom -Kakkanad PWD Road as part of extension of Kochi Metro Rail

Project in between JLN Stadium and Kakkanad Infopark.
