ORDER

  WHEREAS, under the provisions of sub­rule(1) of Rule 185, of the kerala Co­

operative Societies Rule, 1969, subject to the provisions of sub­rules (2),(3) and (4),

appointments to the categories of posts in a society, other than those mentioned in sub­

rules (2), (3) and (4), shall be made by promotion , on the basis of seniority in the

feeder category.

AND   WHEREAS,   the   Board   of   Directors   of   the   Kannur   Taluk   Co­operative

Employees Co­operative Society Ltd No C 387 in Kannur District has resolved to request

the Government to exempt the said Society from the provisions of Rule 185(1) of the

Kerala   Co­operative   Societies   Rules,   1969   for   the   purpose   of   making   direct

appointment in the post of Accountant through the Co­operative Service Examination

Board.

AND   WHEREAS,   the   Registrar   of   Co­operative   Societies   has   submitted   the

proposal of the Board of Directors of the said Society to exempt the said Society from

the provisions of Rule 185(1) of the said rules for the purpose of making direct

appointment in the post of Accountant through the Co­operative Service Examination

Board.

AND WHEREAS, the Government has considered the matter in detail and are

satisfied that it is necessary to exempt the Kannur Taluk Co­operative Employees Co­

operative Society Ltd No C 387 in Kannur District from the provisions of Rule 185(1) of

the Kerala Co­operative Societies Rules 1969, so as to enable the said Society to make

direct   appointment   in   the   post   of   Accountant   through   the   Co­operative   Service

Examination Board.

NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 181 of the Kerala

Co­operative   Societies   Rules   1969,   the   Government   of   Kerala   hereby   exempt   the

Kannur Taluk Co­operative Employees Co­operative Society Ltd No C 387 in Kannur

District from the provisions of Rule 185(1) of the said Rules so as to enable the said

Society to make direct appointment in the post of Accountant through the Co­operative

Service Examination Board.
