NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 2 of the Kerala

Government Land Assignment (Regularization of Contraventions) Rules, 2025, the

Government of Kerala hereby appoint the Deputy Collector (Land Revenue) of each district

and the Deputy Collector (Land Assignment and Land Revenue) of Idukki District as the

competent authority to exercise the powers and functions under the said rules.

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general

purport.)

As per clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 2 of the Kerala Government Land

Assignment (Regularization of Contraventions) Rules, 2025 empowers the

Government to appoint an officer not below the rank of Deputy Collector as

competent authority by notification in the Official Gazette, to exercise various

powers and functions under the said rules. The Government considers it necessary to

appoint Deputy Collector (Land Revenue) of each district and the Deputy Collector

(Land Assignment and Land Revenue) of Idukki District as competent authority for

exercising the powers and functions of under the said rules.

The notification is intended to achieve the above object.
